Massey University Creative Arts International Excellence Scholarships

Eligibility requirements

This is open to students who have demonstrated academic excellence in Creative Arts subjects while studying in New Zealand or abroad for the following programmes:

  • Bachelor of Design (Hons);
  • Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons);
  • Bachelor of Maori Visual Arts;
  • Bachelor of Creative Media Production; and
  • Bachelor of Commercial Music

School of Food and Advanced Technology First Year Undergraduate Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must be eligible, and intending, to enrol:
•For full time study (minimum of 105 credits)
•In the first year (i.e. 100 level) of a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) (all majors) or a Bachelor of Food Technology (Hons) (all majors) or a BSc (Nutritional Science major) in the year following the award of the Scholarship
•At either Auckland or Manawatu campuses

Selection Criteria
Selection will be made on the basis of:
•Academic excellence
•Extracurricular achievement or involvement in science, nutritional science, engineering or food technology activities
•Leadership: Both in and out of school, as evidenced by leadership roles, skills and qualities, development and growth.

New Zealand Scholarship - for Pacific, Asian, African, Caribbean and Latin American Countries

Eligibility requirements

Funded by the New Zealand Government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT), a New Zealand Scholarship offers eligible candidates the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills through study that will assist in the development of their home countries. Awardees are required to return to their home country for at least 2 years after the completion of their scholarship to apply these new skills and knowledge in government, civil society, or private business organisations.  Applications for a New Zealand Scholarship are available for the following qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree (3 – 4 years)
  • Postgraduate Certificate (6 months)
  • Postgraduate Diploma (1 year)
  • Master’s Degree (1 – 2 years)
  • PhD (3 – 4 years)

What does it cover?

  • Return economy air travel
  • An establishment allowance upon arrival in New Zealand

  • Provision for students to meet basic living costs

New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships (NZIDRS)

Eligibility requirements

New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships provide financial support for postgraduate students seeking doctoral degrees by research in New Zealand universities. Up to ten scholarships are awarded annually. These scholarships are funded by the New Zealand Government and administered by the Education New Zealand Trust.

The scholarships aim to:

  • Attract top international students
  • Maximise the research capability, and output of New Zealand tertiary providers
  • Build deeper education partnerships with participating countries and regions
