A scholarship which provides financial support to a commencing Law student within the Faculty of Law who will undertake either the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) or LLB combined degree or Monash JD.  The purpose of the scholarship is to attract diverse and brilliant minds to the law programs at Monash.

Students must meet the following criteria:

An International student from China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, India, Singapore or Indonesia.

Have applied to study:

  • Bachelor of Laws (Honours) combined degrees OR
  • Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)

  • This scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement.
  • Students will be assessed on their scholarship application statement and their potential to be an ambassador for Monash University (500 words).

  • Maintain a full-time enrolment.

MMG Engineering Leadership Scholarship

Study level

Eligibility requirements

MMG recognises the ability and potential of students specialising in Mining Engineering enrolled in the Faculty of Engineering and wishes to provide philanthropic support to encourage and reward student potential and achievement. They would like to broaden the eligibility pool to students outside the Engineering Leadership program and to international students. The scholarship title has also been amended to MMG Engineering Leadership Scholarship.

You must meet the following criteria:

  • International student.
  • Enrolled in the Bachelor of Resources Engineering (Mining) at a Monash campus in Australia.
  • Completed 48 credit points.
  • Achieved a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70.

Selection criteria

Awarded based on academic merit and interview performance.

To retain this scholarship:

  • You must maintain full-time enrolment.
  • You must achieve a distinction average 70 or above each semester.

Engineering International Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship

The Engineering International Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship recognises outstanding academic results for students intending to enrol in an undergraduate Engineering course at a Monash campus in Australia. 

You must be studying as one of the following:

An International student
Currently in Year 12 (or equivalent), or completed Year 12 (or equivalent) in previous year and have not undertaken any other tertiary study
Have achieved a minimum equivalent ATAR score of 95.00.
Have a full offer or an conditional offer on meeting English requirements to enrol in any undergraduate engineering single or double degree program at a Monash campus in Australia

This scholarship cannot be deferred.
No application is required. All students will be automatically assessed.
This scholarship cannot be held with any other scholarship or study grant.

Value details

TOTAL SCHOLARSHIP VALUE - AUD $40,000; AUD $10,000 per 48 credit points of study for a maximum of four years, paid towards your tuition fees.

David Li Music Scholarship

A commencing or continuing student enrolled in the Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Music (Honours) within the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music at a Monash University campus in Australia.

To support and build the future skill base of music talent in Australia and worldwide, Mr David Li wishes to establish an award and scholarship within the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music at Monash University.

Leizor Pinskier Memorial Holocaust and Genocide Grant

Eligibility requirements

This scholarship was created in memory of Leizor Pinskier. It is available to students in the Faculty of Arts who are registered to participate in a winter semester International Study Tour Unit offered by the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation (ACJC). It supports students who are taking up the opportunity to study history from the perspective of a society that has experienced mass atrocity and genocide.

You must meet the following criteria:

  • Commencing or current students enrolled or intending to enrol in an undergraduate or postgraduate (coursework) degree.
  • Students participating in one of the following winter semester International Study Tour units offered by the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation in the Faculty of Arts at a Monash campus in Australia:
  1. ATS3314/4314/APG4314 Seeking Justice; South Africa and Rwanda
  2. ATS3284/ATS4286/APG4286 Final Journey: Remembering the Holocaust.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the highest achieving eligible students with a minimum grade average of 70%.
Preference will be given to Honours students.

To retain this scholarship:

The recipient will be asked to provide a written progress report on the benefits of this grant to the donor and the ACJC website at the conclusion of the unit, accompanied by a photograph.

Bachelor of International Business Diploma Pathway Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

A scholarship for international students who have completed a Diploma of Business at Monash College and wish to pathway to the Bachelor of International Business at the 271 Collins Street (City) Monash campus.

You must meet the following criteria:

  • Completing the Monash College Diploma of Business (Business and Commerce streams), and
  • A commencing student in the Bachelor of International Business, Bachelor of Business (Specialist) / Bachelor of International Business or Bachelor of Business (Specialist) / Bachelor of Arts (International Business major) at the 271 Collins Street (City) Monash campus.

Selection criteria

Awarded to the top students applying for the Bachelor of International Business, Bachelor of Business (Specialist) / Bachelor of International Business or Bachelor of Business (Specialist) / Bachelor of Arts (International Business major), who have completed the Diploma of Business at Monash College. Students must have achieved a minimum of 70 per cent in the Diploma of Business.

Application details

No application is required. All eligible students who undertake the Diploma of Business and apply for one of the above courses, will be automatically assessed.

This scholarship cannot be deferred.

Value details

AUD $6,000 per annum for one year only paid towards tuition fees for the first two trimesters.

Monash International Scholarship for Excellence

You must meet the following criteria:

  • Current Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia
  • Intending to enrol in an undergraduate degree at a Monash campus in Australia.

Selection criteria

  • Based on academic achievement and offered to the highest-achieving students.
  • ATAR of 98.00+ or equivalent

To retain this scholarship:

  • You must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 or above each semester.
  • You must remain enrolled as an international student.

Application details

No application is required.
All eligible students who apply for an undergraduate course through VTAC will be automatically assessed.
This scholarship can be deferred.

Master of Financial Mathematics Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

If you are planning to apply for the Master of Financial Mathematics at Monash, you may be eligible for a full scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievement.

Students must meet the following criteria:

  • A commencing student enrolled in the Masters of Financial Mathematics at a Monash campus in Australia.

Selection criteria

  • You must have completed an undergraduate degree in mathematics with a minimum Weighted Average Mark of 70 (distinction).
  • Short-listed applicants will be invited to an interview with a panel of academics and industry partners.

Monash International Merit Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

Students must meet the following criteria:

  • Intending to enrol full-time in undergraduate or postgraduate (coursework) degree at a Monash campus in Australia.
  • For commencing students, you must have received a Monash offer.

Note: You are not eligible to apply for this scholarship if you: 

  • Are studying Australian Year 12. You may be eligible for the Monash International Scholarship for Excellence.
  • Are commencing in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) course or the Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (MD). You will need to complete three semesters and apply as a current student.

Selection criteria

  • Based on academic achievement.
  • Current students must have achieved a minimum weighted average mark of 85
  • Students will also be assessed on their scholarship application statement (500 words), and their potential to be an ambassador for Monash University.
  • Preference will be given to commencing students.

To retain this scholarship:

  • You must maintain a distinction average (70% or above) each semester.
  • You will be required to participate in at least three Marketing and/or Scholarship promotional activities, which include attending official scholarship functions and participating in marketing activities and networking events.

Before applying for this scholarship, you must have received a full Monash course offer with no conditions.

Can be deferred within the same calendar year only.

Value details

Total average value of up to AUD $50,000, AUD $10,000 per annum (48 credit points of study) paid per year until the minimum number of points for your degree is completed.

Monash International Leadership Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

If you are an international student who has received a Monash undergraduate degree course offer, you may be eligible for this scholarship. Students from all countries are invited to apply. We are looking for high-achieving students who can be ambassadors for Monash.

Students must meet the following criteria:

  • Intending to enrol full-time in an undergraduate or postgraduate (coursework) degree at a Monash campus in Australia.
  • Received a full Monash course offer.
  • Not a recipient of any other scholarships, grants or financial incentives funded by Monash University or be sponsored by other bodies / institutions.

Note: The following students are not eligible to apply for this scholarship:

  • Students enrolling in Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine or Master of Business Administration (MBA).
  • Students in Monash Pathway programs (e.g. Monash College and Monash University Foundation Year).
  • Students transferring from another Monash campus or applying to Monash from another Australian University.

Selection criteria

  • Based on academic achievement.
  • Students will also be assessed on their scholarship application statement (500 words) and their potential to be an ambassador for Monash University.

To retain this scholarship:

  • You must maintain a distinction grade average (70% or above) each semester.
  • You will be required to participate in at least three Marketing and/or Scholarship promotional activities. These activities include attendance at official scholarship functions and participating in marketing activities and networking events.

Students must submit a separate application form for this scholarship.

Before applying for this scholarship, you must have received a full Monash course offer with no conditions.

Can be deferred within the same calendar year only.

DEPM Prostate Cancer Research Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

The DEPM Prostate Cancer Research Scholarship is intended to encourage students to undertake further studies at Honours level in medicine at the Monash Alfred campus in the area of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, focusing principally on improving health outcomes for men diagnosed with prostate cancer.

You must meet the following criteria:

  • international student.
  • Obtain a minimum weighted average mark (WAM) of 70% or above, across undergraduate study in Bachelor of Medical Sciences (Honours) (MED4301 & MED4302), Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (Honours) (BMS4100 & BMS4200), or the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) (HSC4011, HSC4001 & 4002).
  • Commencing or continuing in a full-time School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine Honours program at the Monash Alfred campus (Bachelor of Medical Sciences (Honours) (MED4301 & MED4302), Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (Honours) (BMS4100 & BMS4200), or the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) (HSC4011, HSC4001 & 4002)).

Selection criteria

  • Students will be ranked according to undergraduate results and short-listed students will be interviewed by Supervisor/s.

To retain this scholarship:

  • Maintain full-time enrolment and demonstrate satisfactory progress is being achieved.  This will be determined by a brief report from the student's Honours supervisor.

Biomedicine International Articulation Scholarship

  • An International student who completed Diploma of Biomedicine, Biotechnology or equivalent at the following Polytechnics in Singapore: Ngee Ann, Republic, Singapore and Temasek
  • Obtained a GPA of 3+
  • Commencing the Bachelor of Biomedical Science (course code M2003).

Alfred Research Alliance Honours Scholarship

Students must meet the following criteria:

  • Completing the Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Biomedical Science in the year you submit your scholarship application.
  • Commencing or continuing in a full-time Alfred Research Alliance honours program with Monash at the Alfred precinct in Melbourne.
  • Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 80 or above across your undergraduate study.

Selection criteria

  • Based on academic achievement.
  • You will be ranked according to your academic results. Shortlisted students may be interviewed.

Monash University - Museums Victoria PhD Research Scholarship

Postgraduate

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must be:

  • a commencing or continuing full-time PhD student and enrolled in Research Quarter 1 (in the following year) at a Monash campus in Australia;
  • working on projects which are either co-supervised by Monash and Museums Victoria, or are substantially focused on some aspects of Museums Victoria’s collection; and
  • in the first two years of candidature and must meet all course requirements in a timely manner (e.g. milestones).

Selection criteria

Relevance, quality and achievability of projects to the Monash-Museums Victoria collaborative research program (or ability to foster research collaboration) is considered along with records of achievement.
