Monash University Jubilee Honours Scholarship

The Monash University Jubilee Honours Scholarship was introduced to acknowledge the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Monash University.

Applicants must be one of the following:

  • An Australian citizen
  • An Indigenous Australian
  • A New Zealand citizen
  • Australian permanent resident
  • Australian humanitarian visa holder
  • Australian student visa holder

Students must meet the following criteria:

  • Current students must achieve a weighted average mark of 80+
  • Commencing a separate 48 credit point honours degree at a Monash campus in Australia.

Selection criteria

  • Award based on academic achievement or need.
  • Academic achievement criteria: minimum of a high distinction average (80% or above) in previous tertiary studies.

Arts in Prato Travel Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

This scholarship provides $2000 to students undertaking a Faculty of Arts unit offered at the Prato Centre, Italy. There are three selection categories: equity, merit and Italian Studies (for students studying Italian Studies).

Applicants must be one of the following: An Australian citizen; A New Zealand citizen; Australian permanent resident; Australian humanitarian visa holder; Australian student visa holder. Students must meet the following criteria: A current Monash undergraduate student enrolled at Monash Campus in Australia, who is undertaking at least one Faculty of Arts unit offered at the Prato Centre during their period of travel. Specific units offered may vary on an annual basis.

Selection criteria: Equity: Australian or New Zealand citizen or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa. From one or more of the following educational disadvantage groups: Have a low income; Are a recent refugee; From a regional or remote area; Have a disability or medical condition; From a non-English speaking background; Have experienced difficult circumstances; From an underrepresented school.

Merit: Australian or New Zealand citizen or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa or international student. Awarded to the highest achieving students on the basis of academic achievement (WAM for currently enrolled course). Italian Studies: Australian or New Zealand citizen or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa or international student. Completion of 18 points of Italian Studies. Awarded to the highest achieving students based on WAM of Italian Studies units completed.

To retain this scholarship: You must not be receiving another travel scholarship besides the Monash Abroad Travel Scholarship.

  • Intending to enrol in the Master of Laws full-time as a Monash student, attending the Monash Law City Campus.
  • Achieved in the top 5% of your previous studies or demonstrated outstanding achievement in a combination of your studies and your work based learning.

You must be one of the following: Australian student visa holder; you must meet the following criteria: commencing an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Science at the Monash Clayton campus. Selection criteria: Award to the highest-achieving students, based on academic achievement.

You must be one of the following: An Australian citizen; A New Zealand citizen; Australian permanent resident; Australian humanitarian visa holder; Australian student visa holder; You must meet the following criteria: You must also be: A commencing or continuing full-time undergraduate student; Enrolled in an honours course; Undertaking an honours research project co-supervised by the University and the Museum, or substantially focused on some aspects of the Museum’s collection, or in association with a Museums Victoria researcher. Selection criteria: Based on academic achievement. Scholarship selection will be undertaken by a joint Monash University-Museums Victoria selection committee. To retain this scholarship: You must maintain full-time enrolment in your honours course for the duration of the award; Recipients will be encouraged to participate in activities showcasing the Monash University–Museums Victoria collaboration e.g. research seminars, promotional events; A brief final report, outlining the research outcomes, must be submitted.

Applicants must be one of the following:

Intending to enrol full-time in an undergraduate or postgraduate (coursework) degree at a Monash campus in Australia.
Received a full Monash course offer.
Not a recipient of any other scholarships, grants or financial incentives funded by Monash University or be sponsored by other bodies / institutions.

Note: The following students are not eligible to apply for this scholarship:

  • Students enrolling in Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine or Master of Business Administration (MBA).
  • Students in Monash Pathway programs (e.g. Monash College and Monash University Foundation Year).

  • Are studying Australian Year 12. You may be eligible for the Monash International Scholarship for Excellence.
