To be considered for awards applicants must: • be a national of one of the following countries: India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand or Vietnam. • have been offered a place to study on an eligible undergraduate or Master’s degree course at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus* for the 2020/21 academic year • be assessed as international for fee purposes • successful applicants will be selected on merit. MBA Advancing Women in Leadership Scholarship

To be eligible for this full fee scholarship you must meet the following criteria: completed the scholarship application form including submitting an essay of no more than 1,500 words in response to the question listed. Submissions need to be in English. hold a conditional or unconditional offer of admission to the Full-time MBA programme of 2020 entry have substantive managerial experience (minimum 3 years prior to starting the MBA) preferably hold the equivalent of a UK 2:1 honours degree (however, applicants who do not meet this requirement but can demonstrate relevant work experience above the minimum plus significant career progression may also be considered) perform well at interview across all competency areas hold an English language qualification of IELTS 6.5 or its equivalent with no subskill below 6.0 (if your first language is not English)

North American Athlete Scholarship

Student requirements

Applicants should ideally have NCAA D1- D3 playing experience in one of the following sports: Basketball, Lacrosse, Volleyball, Tennis, Golf, Women’s Soccer, Waterpolo. They must also be: registered at Newcastle University for the 2020/21 academic year registered for one of the following eligible Master's courses: MA; MBA; MClinRes; MEd; MMedEd; LLM; LLM (by research); MLitt; MMus; MPH; MRes; MSc. defined as international for fee purposes resident in the USA or Canada registered to study at Newcastle University city centre campus students new to the University and not those transferring or repeating courses.

International Family Discounts (IFD)

Student requirements

This discount is only available to students studying at the Newcastle city campus. The University offers partial discounts to close relatives (husband, wife, brother, sister, mother, father, son or daughter) of students and graduates, who have been assessed as International for fees purposes, and who wish to pursue their studies at Newcastle University in 2019/20 or are currently studying here. Students may only apply for a discount if they are registered as a student at the University or after they have been offered a place to study on their chosen degree programme, and have been assessed as International for fees purposes. Where two family members are intending to start their studies in any academic year or are currently studying at the University, one member will be eligible to apply for the International Family Discount (IFD).

To be considered for the Vice-Chancellor’s Global Scholarships applicants must: • be assessed as international for fee purposes • hold an offer for an eligible Master’s degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2020/21 academic year • already have or expect to receive the equivalent of an upper second class UK honours degree or above Applicants of all nationalities (assessed as international for fee purposes) are eligible to apply for VCGS awards, except for those listed below. Applicants from the following countries are not eligible to apply for VCGS awards as the University offers specific schemes for these countries: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Thailand, Turkey, USA, Uganda, Venezuela, Vietnam. A scheme for postgraduate Master's applicants from Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and Uganda will be launched in February 2020.

You must: 1. Hold an offer and register on a degree-awarding postgraduate course at Newcastle University, eg: PhD or another doctoral level programme Master's course PG Diploma PG Certificate (including Primary, Secondary and Schools Direct PGCE courses) The majority of courses qualify for the award, but please check the exception list below. 2. Be a graduate of Newcastle University. That is, you must have qualified (or be due to qualify) on a full undergraduate or postgraduate degree eg: BA BSc BEng LLB MA MSc MPhil PhD MLitt MEd MEng MChem MMath MPharm (including students graduating with an MPharm from Durham University from 2018 onwards) 3. Be wholly or partially self-financing for the tuition fee element of your course.

ou do not need to complete a separate application form for the Alumni Tuition Fee Discount. Instead, you must provide the following information in the University's Postgraduate Applicant Portal. You must: a. Detail your current/previous study at the University b. Attach a copy of your previous qualification from the University if you have it available c. You should also try and ensure that your postgraduate application is processed using your previous student number (you are asked to provide this number when you apply) If you are eligible, the 20% discount will be applied when you register at the University. If the discount has not been applied when you register, contact the Postgraduate Admissions Service.
