Dakota Corps Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

The Dakota Corps scholarships are four-year, full-tuition-and-fee scholarships for South Dakota high school seniors who plan to major in and then become employed in one of the following critical-need occupations: special education, math education, science education, career and technical education, accountant/auditor, nursing, engineering (except mining), and information technology.

Students must have a composite ACT score of 27 or greater and have graduated from an accredited South Dakota high school with a GPA of 2.8 or greater on a 4.0 scale. In addition, recipients must agree to stay in South Dakota and work in their critical need occupation for as many years as the scholarship was received plus one year.

WolfPACT Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

You can be eligible for a renewable award, based on your ACT score and housing choice. You also can use SAT scores - Critical Reading + Math - to determine eligibility. The annual increases require you to live on campus. 

The WolfPACT is for new freshmen only. Students must be enrolled full time and maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 for renewal.

To apply for a WolfPACT scholarship, submit a completed admission application, application fee, high school transcript, and official ACT or SAT scores and be accepted for admission by March 1.

South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

This scholarship provides USD $6,500 over four years to qualifying South Dakota students who attend an eligible higher education institution in South Dakota.

Qualifying students will have an ACT composite score of 24 or higher and complete the high school course requirements commonly known as the Regents Scholar curriculum with a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
