de Rohan Scholarships 2020

We are pleased to offer two Rohan Scholarships to two full-time or part-time students studying on one of the following research programme: MA by Research in the History of Art for September 2020 entry. Please also note that International students are only eligible for FT scholarships. If you are an international student and would like further information, eligibility, and details of how to apply, please contact the scholarship administrator.

The closing date for applications for the scholarship is 17:00, Friday 3 July 2020. Please note applications will only be accepted from students who have already been made a conditional or unconditional offer by Oxford Brookes University.

The scholarship will provide a £1,000 payment towards the costs of your tuition fees and will be awarded on the basis of a personal statement.

Oxford Brookes Sanctuary Scholarship

Student requirements

Students with the following immigration statuses who meet the relevant course entry requirements and are not in receipt of, or eligible for government student finance support, are eligible to apply: Asylum seeker; Unaccompanied asylum seeking child (UASC); Limited leave to remain (LLR); Discretionary leave to remain (DLR); Humanitarian protection (HP). The family member of someone with one of the immigration statuses listed above with ‘in line’ or ‘dependent’ status. The scholarship will be open to students who are in receipt of an offer (or awaiting a decision) for a full-time postgraduate taught course, including foundation year courses.

There are two scholarships available for 2020 entry. You may be invited to an online or phone conversation to discuss your application further. If you are successful in being offered a Sanctuary Scholarship you will be informed by 31st July 2020.

A full fee waiver (you do not need to pay fees); A cash bursary of £4,000; Financial support equivalent to £8,000 towards accommodation. Guaranteed accommodation in University halls of residence for 52 weeks per year.

School of Arts MA Music Scholarship

Student requirements

All applicants must fulfil the academic entry requirements for postgraduate study in the University and Faculty of Technology, Design and Environment. All applicants must have been offered and accepted either a conditional or unconditional place on the MA Music programme as specified above by the deadline of 29 May 2020 for entry in September 2020. All applicants must address the specified criteria for each scholarship. All scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis, and therefore applicants must have, or expect to obtain, a good honours degree (First Class or 2.1 equivalent) from a recognised institution of higher education, or have experience which demonstrates appropriate knowledge and skills at honours degree standard.

Application details

Scholarship applicants who are final year undergraduates must expect to be notified of the result of their degree before 31 July 2020 in order to be considered for a scholarship. International students must meet the English language requirements for their programme.
