In this video, Kunal Ambasht of EGE Global Education gives some tips on understanding letter of recommendation. It is best that students provide LORs from professors or project guides who have taught them directly. In the case of students with work experience an LOR from a supervising manager would work well rather than an LOR from a colleague.
The LOR should ideally specify the positive traits of the student like time-management skills, sense of responsibility, team-player skills, etc. A good LOR plays a key role in a student getting a course of one’s choice when applying to study at an institution abroad.
The next video provides information on the format and ideal word limit for a SOP.
