This school is very fun and provides an excellent education, especially for a state school. I was very apprehensive about attending but do not regret my decision at all. UMD provides many opportunities in research, internships, and jobs. The campus is large but very beautiful. The accomodation is not cheap but after sharing the apartment it becomes reasonable, which can be easily taken care of from the jobs on campus. The collegepark is small town which is located surrounded by big cities like baltimore and washington dc. The campus is large its amongst the largest university campus in USA. Now coming to Telecommunication Program this is program is picking up good pace in this college with many students enrolling for this program. The only reason is job opportunities. This is a combination of both Telecommunication and Management side, which makes it much better than complete technical program. In this university the telecom program concentrates more on wireless and RF side as well as some networking side too. Thus I would recommend all the students who wants to make there career in telecommunications this is the place to be in for, as you all muust be knowing getting into this college is not so easy. This is one of the top 20 colleges in USA. But try hard and never loose hope go for it. show less
