Overview
The University of Duisburg-Essen, popularly known as UDE is the youngest university in the North Rhine-Westphalia region and is one of the ten largest universities in Germany. Based in the heart of Ruhr; UDE is home to over 42,000 students from 130 countries. Students can choose from more than 230 different programmes that are offered in subjects ranging from the Humanities to Social Sciences, Business and Engineering. UDE comprises two state-of-the-art campuses, one at Duisburg and the other at Essen. Research at UDE is based out of four core research clusters with a focus on Biochemistry, the Environment and Advanced Computing.
