Alumni Legacy Scholarship

Study level

Eligibility requirements

The Alumni Legacy Scholarship is offered to students who have a work/volunteer history with an Ross Vet graduate. This scholarship provides qualifying students with tuition assistance to enroll in our DVM program.

INITIAL ELIGIBILITY

Letter of recommendation from a Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine graduate
Applicants must hold an offer of admission to RUSVM for the scholarship to be awarded
This scholarship is open to incoming first-semester students only
 

In addition to the initial eligibility requirements above, the following criteria will also be taken into consideration by the awarding committee when selecting eligible applicants to be awarded this scholarship:

  • GRE score
  • GPA
  • Animal experience, including shadowing/preceptorships
  • Special honors or recognition

Note: Eligible Applicants who are not awarded the Alumni Legacy Scholarship will automatically be offered a USD $500 Alumni Book Scholarship.

International Dean's Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

A merit-based scholarship providing tuition assistance to International students who have shown solid academic achievement.
–Applicant must be an international student who completed all prerequisite credits in a non-US institution.

–Applicant must meet RUSVM standards for admission as they relate to academics, extracurricular activities such as volunteer work and research, and letters of recommendation.

–Applicant must hold a current letter of admission to RUSVM.
–Admitted applicants will be automatically reviewed for an International Dean’s Scholarship only after a decision of admission has been received from the Faculty Admissions Committee.
–Review and approval from the Dean/Dean’s Council.

RENEWAL GUIDELINES

Must maintain a minimum 3.00 GPA at RUSVM to maintain award eligibility for each of the first three semesters.

Value details

USD $8,000 towards tuition costs for your first semester and is renewable for 2 additional semesters, for a total of USD $24,000

Canada Opportunity Scholarship

Career based/Vocational

Eligibility requirements

- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

- Student has been accepted to Ross and is beginning semester 1 of the DVM program in January or May (students entering Vet Prep will not be eligible until they are advancing to Semester 1 in a January or May class or for students advancing to semester 1 in September will commence this scholarship in their semester 2 in January).

- September semester 1 students will not be eligible until they enter semester 2 in January

- This funding is not available to students repeating a semester.  The scholarship will be on hold and will resume when they are advancing after the repeated semester

- Scholarship will be awarded on first come first served basis based on date of seat security deposit

This funding is designed to help students that are Canadian and have been accepted to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in the January and May classes.
