To be eligible students must: be an international or a European Union (non-UK) fee paying student; have an offer for a full-time taught undergraduate course starting in 2016/17 at Sheffield Hallam University; have achieved or exceeded the English and academic entry requirements for the undergraduate course; be self-funding their studies; be able to pay any additional fees their course may require, for example field trips. Scholarship will be awarded to well-qualified students who demonstrate academic, personal or professional achievement on their scholarship application form.

Scholarship will be awarded to well-qualified students who demonstrate academic, personal or professional achievement on their scholarship application form.

Chevening Scholarship Scheme

Student requirements

To be eligible for a Chevening Award you must: Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country; Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your award has ended; Have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry to a postgraduate programme at a UK university. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the UK; Have at least two years’ work experience (this may be up to five years for fellowship programmes, please refer to your country page for further details); Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by a certain deadline; Meet the Chevening English language requirement by a certain deadline. Applicants are not permitted to enrol on pre-sessional courses to fulfil their university’s English language requirement or any other conditions of a university offer.

The award covers tuition fees, living expenses and flights to pursue one-year Master's degrees in any subject and at any UK university.

Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme (CSSS)

Student requirements

Applicants must: be nationals of (or permanently domiciled in) a Commonwealth developing country and not be currently living or studying in a developed country; hold a first degree at either first or upper second class level; have not previously studied for one year or more in a developed country; be able to confirm in writing that neither they nor their families would otherwise be able to pay for the proposed course of study; return to their home country within one month of the end of their course; have an unconditional offer from Sheffield Hallam University for a selected number of courses starting in 2017/18.
