GRE Scores Required to Get into Top American Universities

GRE profile evaluation is an integral part of the admissions process. A score of 330 and above on your GRE coupled with a great undergraduate score and a good score on the TOEFL/IELTS is a sure-shot way to grant you admission into America’s leading universities like MIT, Harvard and Stanford. Year-on-year GRE results have a number of Indian students scoring in the band of 300 to 320. This article will list top five American universities which accept students in the GRE score band of 300 to 320.

Students need to remember the fact that admission is based not just on the GRE score but also on the undergraduate score, work-experience/project experience, English skills and the ‘Statement of Purpose’. Another key factor that students should remember is that a public university will charge lesser tuition fee but the number of applicants vying for a place will be higher. 

Pennsylvania State University:

The Graduate School at Ohio State University offers over 90 doctoral programs and 115 graduate degrees. Ohio State University ranks in the top 25 universities for graduate research in the USA.

Boston University:

Stony Brook University:

With reports of leading institutions tightening the GRE profile evaluation for Fall 2015 admissions a great score on the GRE is a great asset. There are lots of other universities that students can consider from Virginia Tech University to Vanderbilt University, the possibilities are many. It is of paramount importance that your GRE score is above 300 if you aspire to join the top-ranking universities in America.
