The GRE subject test offers students the chance to demonstrate their level of learning in a specific subject. The GRE subject test is taken in addition to the main GRE test.
Currently the GRE subject test is offered in the following subjects - Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, Biology, Chemistry, Literature in English, Mathematics, Physics and Psychology. The GRE Computer Science Test is no longer offered. The GRE subject test scores can be used to supplement the applicant’s undergraduate marks. The disadvantage with the GRE subject tests is that it is only available for a few limited subjects. An undergraduate student of History has no scope to demonstrate his/her proficiency in history!
In the next video, Chris gives tips on preparing for the GRE.
