About Royal Agricultural University

The Royal Agricultural University (previously known as the Royal Agricultural College) was established in 1845, making it the oldest and first agricultural institution in the English speaking world. From its inception, the institution was staffed with innovators and pioneers and made a considerable impact on farming practice and agricultural science. In 2013, the College was granted full University status. The University has an international reputation for teaching and research excellence and prides itself on having strong links with industry around the globe. The Royal Agricultural University is a Tier 4 Sponsor and is on the Home Office’s Register of Sponsors.

The RAU is based just outside of Cirencester town in Gloucestershire – the capital of the Cotswolds. The campus is spread across 25 acres of greenery and offers a safe and secure environment to live and study.
