The scholarships are competitive and require you to have an English language level of IELTS 7.0 with no section less than 6.0, or equivalent, and submit an application form with a personal statement of up to 500 words outlining your academic interests, any prior relevant experience and reasons for choosing the University of Exeter and your programme of study. Students must be graduates of a recognised university in, and be a resident of India.

Scholarships will be offered on a rolling basis but all applications must be received by the 30th June 2019. Applicants will be notified of the outcome within one calendar month and by no later than 31 July 2019.

Postgraduate Global Excellence Scholarship - Business School

40 x £5000 awards are available to international applicants for MSc Financial Analysis and Fund Management , MSc International Management, MSc Economics, MSc Economics and Econometrics or MSc Behavioural Economics and Finance who achieve the equivalent of a UK upper second class Bachelor degree. This award will be automatically allocated to outstanding applicants applying for the first time for 2019 entry (deferred offer holders or applicants applying for deferred entry are not eligible).

Application details

A separate application for this scholarship is not required, scholarships will be offered on a rolling basis until the 30th June 2019. If you are offered a Postgraduate Global Excellence Scholarship you will receive an e-mail notification following receipt of your University offer. If successful, to accept the award you must make the University of Exeter offer your first choice by returning your deposit by the deadline identified in your offer letter. Awardees will be required to satisfy any academic requirements stipulated in their offer letter no later than 31 August 2019.

The Mary Burrow Masters Scholarship

Student requirements

Only students who have applied to study either MA English Literary Studies or MA Creative Writing will be eligible for this scholarship. This will be awarded to an academically gifted candidate who is also able to demonstrate how they will benefit from the financial assistance. If you are undertaking your Master’s part time then the scholarship will be allocated at £2,500 per year for 2 years.

Alumni scholarships for Doctoral-level study

We are pleased to offer a scholarship of £3,000 for international alumni starting an MPhil/PhD or other Doctoral degree with us in the 2019/20 academic year. The scholarship cannot be held in conjunction with any other scholarship or studentship. It will be automatically deducted from your tuition fees and will be split between your September and January tuition fees payments. If you choose not to continue your studies before making the final January payment, you will be required to pay back the scholarship received to date. University of Exeter Alumni Scholarship

Student requirements

We are pleased to offer University of Exeter alumni beginning postgraduate study with us in 2019/20 a scholarship towards the cost of their tuition fees. The scholarship is available to any University of Exeter graduate, including international year abroad, starting a taught Masters degree (eg MA; MSc; MRes; MFA) or research degree (eg PhD) in September 2019/20. In order to be eligible for the scholarship, you must obtain the necessary academic and English language entry requirements for your chosen postgraduate programme. The scholarship cannot be held in conjunction with any other University-funded scholarship or studentship and is not available for other taught postgraduate programmes, for example PGCE or PgDip. It will be automatically deducted from your tuition fees and will be split between your September and January tuition fees payment. If you choose not to continue your studies before making the final January payment, you will be required to pay back the scholarship received to date.

This award is applied automatically to all University of Exeter alumni; you do not need to apply separately. Submit your postgraduate application to study by 15 September at the latest in order to be eligible.
