Vice-Chancellor Circle Scholarships

Donors and Alumni are pleased to offer a bursary worth £5,000 each to six students studying MSc Renewable Energy or MSc Flood Risk Management, starting in September 2020. The bursary is for students who have been awarded a First Class undergraduate degree OR meet at least one of our widening participation criteria. You can apply for the Vice-Chancellor’s Circle (VCC) Scholarships if you meet all of the following criteria: You have applied for a place on MSc Renewable Energy or MSc Flood Risk Management (if you haven’t yet submitted your application for a place to study please do so here) You're not already qualified at masters level, or higher. You have been awarded/predicted a First Class undergraduate degree The scholarship application is a separate process to applying for a course. Being awarded a scholarship does not guarantee you will be made an academic offer. This award cannot be held in conjunction with any University of Hull scholarship or financial award other than the Graduate Studentship. This is a competitive bursary scheme, and eligibility does not guarantee an award. Depending on which criteria you meet, you may be asked to submit additional documents as supporting evidence. International Studentship Scheme Discount

This award is available to international students with international fee status. Nationals of countries classed as low or lower middle income economies by the World Bank are also eligible for an additional £1,000 per year discount.

Graduate Scholarship

Student requirements

You may be eligible for the award if you have an undergraduate degree from a previous and separate programme at the University of Hull (includes ‘top-up’ degree awards and validated degrees), or if you are an exchange student wishing to continue your studies. York-registered MBBS students are also eligible for the Graduate Scholarship if they wish to continue on to an eligible University of Hull taught postgraduate course. The award is available for University of Hull postgraduate taught master's degree programmes, for example MA or MSc qualifications (excludes postgraduate certificates/diplomas, PGCE, MBA, Masters Foundation programmes and Online or Distance Taught provision). Hull York Medical School programmes are excluded. An individual can only receive one Graduate Scholarship. The Graduate Scholarship is payable as a discount on tuition fees and cannot be held in conjunction with any full-fee awards (scholarships/studentships). The award will be applied to fees on a pro-rata basis for programmes of study lasting longer than one academic year. If you withdraw from your studies the discount will be applied pro-rata to the fee due for the time studied.

University of Hull Graduate Studentship

Student requirements

This is also available to alumni who studied for an undergraduate degree at the University of Hull in previous years and would like to return to study. International students will receive the Graduate Studentship in addition to the International Studentship Scheme Discount. You may be eligible for the award if you have an undergraduate degree from a previous and separate programme at the University of Hull (includes ‘top-up’ degree awards and validated degrees) or Hull York Medical School and wish to progress on to a Hull York Medical School MSc taught at the University of Hull campus. Eligible programmes can be found on the Hull York Medical School website. An individual can only receive one Graduate Studentship. The Graduate Studentship is payable as a discount on tuition fees and cannot be held in conjunction with any full-fee awards (scholarships/studentships). The award will be applied to fees on a pro-rata basis for programmes of study lasting longer than one academic year.If you withdraw from your studies the discount will be applied pro-rata to the fee due for the time studied.
