This studentship is funded by they Kent School of Architecture and Planning for students starting full time on the new MSc Bio Digital Architecture course in September 2020; Successful candidates will have: A minimum of a second-class UK degree, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard, in architecture or related discipline in the built environment, or associated disciplines to the subject of Bio Digital Architecture is required; Some basic computing experience is expected; Applicants with an architecture/design background are expected to present a portfolio of work; Applicants whose first language is not English need to provide a certificate to show they have achieved IELTS 7 (minimum 6.5 in reading and writing).

Kent LLM First Class Honours Scholarships

You must meet all of the following conditions: Have been awarded a First Class Honours degree in any discipline from the University of Kent or in law from Canterbury Christ Church University (proven by receipt of transcripts and/or a degree certificate clearly stating that this classification has been awarded); Have firmly accepted an offer of a place on the taught Kent LLM at the Canterbury Campus of the University of Kent for entry in September 2020 or January 2021 and have met the academic conditions of entry/be accepted for entry; This award can be held in conjunction with other awards and scholarships offered by the University of Kent, except where they are provided by Kent Law School (in which case the award which provides the greater monetary value overall will be given only); Applicants must be fully self-funding their studies; Where students undertake study on the Kent LLM on a part-time mode of study, the award will be made on a pro-rata basis; Where students are required to continue their studies beyond their original period of registration, the award will only be provided for that original period of registration; Successful applications will be notified by email after their offer to study on the Kent LLM is firmly accepted. Graduate School Scholarships

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree with honours (or undergraduate Master's degree) awarded in 2020 by the University of Kent. This scholarship offer is not available to those students who have been awarded foundation degrees, HNCs, HNDs or postgraduate degrees.Candidates must have satisfied the criteria for admission and register for a postgraduate degree (Master's or Doctorate) with the University of Kent by 01 October 2020; Candidates must be self-funded, i.e. they are paying their tuition fees themselves. Open to overseas paying students. MArch students are not eligible for this scholarship; Candidates can hold the Graduate School Scholarship in conjunction with other awards except where these awards offer full fees. The Graduate School Scholarship cannot be held in conjunction with the University's loyalty discount.

Music Performance Scholarship

Music Scholarships/Awards are intended to recognise and encourage excellence. Applicants would usually be expected to demonstrate some or all of the following criteria when submitting their written application: An advanced ABRSM grade (or equivalent, including RockSchool, Trinity or other international musical qualifications); A significant musical profile whilst in school / college / university or the local community appropriate performing experience at county or national level / conservatoire, e.g. youth choir, county orchestra, wind band, jazz or big band; Experience in giving public performances, e.g. gigs or solo recitals, major role in musical theatre productions; Scholarship recipients must be prepared to represent the University and to contribute to the cultural life of the University by participating in selected activities and events as designated by the Director of Music. Candidates must also be willing to act as ambassadors for the University and to agree to be featured in the University publications and press releases; These awards are not open to applications from KMMS students; Around fifteen scholarships are awarded to new applicants each year.

To apply for the Music Scholarship, applicants are asked to download an application form available on the Music at Kent website. Applications will be considered and candidates who have been successful at this stage will be invited for an interview and audition. Interviews will be held until the end of Week 1, during which your audition will be arranged. School of Economics Scholarship for MSc Development Economics

Scholarships will be awarded to the best qualified students on a competitive basis; Students may be considered for more than one scholarship, but they will not be awarded more than one (Kent graduates may however be awarded the Graduate School Scholarship in addition, if they are eligible); The award of this scholarship is conditional upon students accepting a University of Kent School of Economics offer of a place to study; This scholarship is not available for the MSc Conversion Programme; The School of Economics is offering up to two scholarships for students on our MSc Development Economics programme for 2020/21. The scholarships are available to outstanding students from low-/lower-middle-income countries, who have secured a scholarship of at least 50% of the full tuition fee through another recognised funder. School of Economics Doctoral Scholarship

Successful candidates will demonstrate academic excellence and outstanding research potential, and will have obtained a good undergraduate honours degree (a First or good 2i), and ordinarily a Master’s degree with Merit or Distinction; The scholarship competition is open to all new School of Economics postgraduate research applicants applying for September 2020 (current Kent research students are not eligible for these scholarships).
