Who is eligible: The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust - University of Leeds Scholarships are available to applicants from developing countries to undertake a one-year taught Master's programme of study in selected Schools, with areas of study related to the economic, social or technological development of the applicant's home country. Applicants MUST first apply for a relevant taught programme of study and be in receipt of a Student Application Number to be eligible to apply for this scholarship. Applications without a valid Student Application Number will be rejected. These awards are only available to applicants who are liable to pay academic fees at the International fee rate. Applicants must hold, or expect to hold by September 2021, a First Degree at undergraduate level equivalent to at least a UK Upper Second Class Honours degree. Applicants should either have graduated with the appropriate First Degree or be in their final year of study. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the University’s English Language requirements by 1 February 2021. Some Schools require a standard of English higher than the University minimum. You should have a valid test result, which is no more than two years old by your official start date at the University of Leeds. This scholarship is available for applicants applying for programmes of study related to economic, social or technological development (with the exception of the Leeds MBA) in the following schools: Earth and Environment; Electronic and Electrical Engineering; Biological Sciences; Geography; History; Law; Languages, Cultures and Societies; Medicine; Media and Communication; Performance and Cultural Industries; Physics and Astronomy; Politics and International Studies; Philosophy, Religion and History of Science; Transport Studies and the Leeds University Business School. Applicants must: Be citizens of, and permanently resident in, one of the developing countries according to the International Development Association list of Borrowing Countries; Not have undertaken studies lasting one year or more in a developed country; Be unable themselves, or through their families, to pay to study in the UK; Agree that they will return to their home country as soon as their period of study is complete; Awards must be taken up in September 2021.

Dean's International Excellence Scholarship

Who is eligible: An outstanding international applicant wishing to undertake a Masters programme with Leeds University Business School in 2021/22. To be considered for the scholarship you must: Hold a conditional or unconditional offer for a Leeds University Business School Taught Masters programme for 2021/22; Be able to evidence an outstanding academic track record; Be able to demonstrate how you strive for and achieve excellence in your professional and personal experiences through your work history and/or extra-curricular activities; Provide an example of when you have had to show determination to overcome a challenge or adversity; Explain how the opportunity to study at Leeds University Business School will help you achieve your academic, personal and professional development goals.

Students from Chulalongkorn University who have received an offer to study on a number of Masters programmes in 2021/22. Scholarships will be awarded to students from Chulalongkorn University who have received an offer to study any of the following Masters programmes in 2021/22:: MSc Accounting and Finance; MSc Actuarial Finance; MSc Banking and International Finance; MSc Finance and Investment; MSc Financial Mathematics; MSc Financial Risk Management; As well as meeting the conditions for your offer, you will need to demonstrate the following: Outstanding academic credentials i.e. likely to be in the top 20% of your class; Evidence of achievement explained in your personal statement (for example prizes or awards received, where you were placed in your class); Strong academic reference(s); That you bring diversity of background to the class; We will also consider your potential to be a successful ambassador for the Business School.

Leeds University Business School Alumni Excellence Scholarship

Student requirements

University of Leeds graduates who achieved a First Class award in their undergraduate degree are eligible for this scholarship; Applicants who qualify for this scholarship are also entitled to receive the Leeds Alumni Bursary resulting in a total award of 20%. The scholarship is calculated based on the net fee remaining i.e. after other scholarships and awards have been deducted (the 10% alumni bursary and 10% alumni scholarship are added together and 20% is deducted from the net fee).

Leeds Alumni Bursary

If you are a former student of the University of Leeds you may be eligible for a 10% alumni tuition fee bursary; To be eligible you must: Have previously studied at the University of Leeds at an undergraduate or postgraduate level, and this includes incoming study abroad students; Be registering for an award leading to a postgraduate qualification (with the exception of the PGCE); Be self-financing for at least part of the cost of your tuition fees. You are deemed to be self-funding if you have support from a friend or relative, or if you are receiving a postgraduate loan from the UK government; Have commenced your studies from September 2016 onwards. The bursary cannot be awarded retrospectively. The University will review the bursary annually and reserves the right to vary or withdraw this bursary at its sole discretion but changes will not be applied retrospectively. You will be automatically considered for these scholarships when we review your application for the relevant Masters course. You are not required to make a separate application. We allocate scholarships on a rolling basis throughout the application cycle in line with our staged admissions. We recommend to make your application for the relevant Masters course as early as possible if you wish to be considered for this scholarship. Successful applicants can expect to be notified of their scholarship within two weeks of the ‘decision by’ deadline for the stage they applied in. Applicants to research degree programmes should normally have at least a first class or an upper second class British Bachelors Honours degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate discipline. The criteria for entry for some research degrees may be higher, for example, several faculties, also require a Masters degree. Applicants are advised to check with the relevant School prior to making an application. Applicants who are uncertain about the requirements for a particular research degree are advised to contact the School or Graduate School prior to making an application; The minimum English language entry requirement for research postgraduate research study is an IELTS of 6.0 overall with at least 5.5 in each component (reading, writing, listening and speaking) or equivalent. The test must be dated within two years of the start date of the course in order to be valid. Some schools and faculties have a higher requirement.
