This bursary is tenable for one year only. Applicants may be of any nationality. Candidates must have submitted an application for a place on the PG Cert programme by the bursary application deadline. Students who have already accepted full scholarships or bursaries for September 2019 entry or are already in receipt of a full scholarship or bursary are ineligible to apply. HCRI PGCert Global Health Bursary: Two awards available to fund PGCert in Global Health Elys Roberts Scholarships for Global Health: Three awards available to fund PG Cert in Global Health Four awards available for PG Dip in Global Health Applicants must complete the PG Cert admissions application process, including online admissions form, tailored reference, and personal statement. Applicants should state their interest in the award within the funding section of the online application form. Applicants must provide a personal statement of no more than 350 words detailing why they wish to study this course and what they think they will bring to it. Within their statement, they should include details of any prior learning undertaken within a professional context. The personal statement should be submitted alongside the online application and other supporting documentation. Shortlisted applicants for the Elys Roberts Scholarship will be required to have phone/skype interview.

HCRI bursary for Red Cross Red Crescent members - postgraduate certificate in Global Health (PG Cert)

These bursaries are: intended to support those most in need, and are awarded based on a number of criteria including reference, and the quality of the reflections in the applicant's personal statement; tenable for one year only (commencing September 2019); open to applicants of any nationality. Criteria 1: The applicant must have submitted a complete application to the online Postgraduate Certificate in Global Health, including an application form, tailored online reference, and personal statement. Entry requirements and application process details can be found here. Criteria 2: The applicant must have successfully applied to, and be able to provide evidence of receipt of, the Movement's staff development award. Criteria 3: The applicant must be a volunteer or staff member with the Movement (i.e. IFRC/ICRC/RCRC). A reference from an appropriate colleague within the Movement is not essential but would support your application. Students who have already accepted full scholarships or bursaries for September 2019 entry or are already in receipt of a full scholarship or bursary are ineligible to apply.

Paterson Institute for Cancer Research Studentships

Applicants should have attained (or be expected to obtain) a first or upper second class degree in a relevant subject from a recognised higher education institution. This funding is available to all nationalities. For applicants whose first language is not English the typical minimum English language requirements are IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 577 (TWE 5.5; paper-based), 233 (TWE 5.5; computer-based) or 90 (internet-based; minimum of 22 in each component).

The bursary is available to students who are University of Manchester medical students intercalating on the following courses: Cardiovascular Health and Disease (MRes); Infection Biology (MRes); Medical Sciences (MRes); Reproduction and Pregnancy (MRes) Tissue Engineering for Regenerative Medicine (MRes) Translational Medicine (MRes) have home fee status; are self-funded and not in receipt of any other funding support. The bursary will be applied as a fee reduction automatically for those students who meet the criteria so there is no application process.
