Felix Scholarship

To be eligible for all the Felix Scholarships offered, you must be applying to start a full-time postgraduate degree at the University of Reading, starting in September 2020. You must be able to demonstrate academic excellence and financial need and are expected by the Trust to return to work in your home country after completing your studies. Please note, candidates who already hold a master's degree cannot apply for a master's degree scholarship. For the scholarship for Indian citizens, the following eligibility criteria apply: You must be an Indian national and not currently be living or studying outside of India. You must have not previously studied for one year or more outside India. You must have at least a first-class bachelor's degree from an Indian university or comparable institution. Those with an upper second-class degree at a bachelor's level may be considered if they hold a first-class degree at master's level. You must not hold a degree from a university outside of India. This scholarship is available to students pursuing either a PhD or master's. For the scholarship for students from developing countries, the following eligibility criteria apply: You must have at least a first-class bachelor's degree from a university or comparable institution. Those with an upper second-class degree at a bachelor's level may be considered if they hold a first-class degree at master's level. You must not hold a degree from a university outside of your home country. Please note that this scholarship is for master's level only.

GREAT Scholarships

This year, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, the University of Reading is offering 3 scholarships of £10,000 each to students in China and India. 2 scholarships are available for the following master's courses: One scholarship for MSc Environmental Management in our School of Archaeology, Geography and Environmental Sciences; One scholarship for any of these three master’s courses in our School of Politics, Economics and International Relations; MSc Economics; MA International Relations; MA Public Policy. To be eligible for a GREAT Scholarships you must: hold a passport issued by the People’s Republic of China or India be applying to one of the master’s degree courses listed: commencing in September 2020; be studying on a full-time basis; not already, or subsequently be, in receipt of a full scholarship from another source (the GREAT scholarship may be held in conjunction with other partial scholarship funding, including the University of Reading master’s scholarships).

Henley Business School Flexible Executive MBA Scholarships September 2020

A scholarship is financial support awarded by an academic institution to a student on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must hold an unconditional offer for the September intake of the Flexible Executive MBA programme. We are looking for exceptional candidates who will add considerable value to the programme based on an outstanding academic or professional background. Scholarships are awarded by an academic panel of Henley Business School whose decision is final and not open to discussion or appeal by applicants. Scholarships cannot be transferred to another intake if a student chooses to defer their entry.

Application details

Applicants will need to hold a full unconditional offer of a place on the Henley Flexible Executive MBA in order to be considered for a scholarship. Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis, and applicants are therefore advised to submit their full programme application with all supporting documents as soon as possible. Please note that scholarship applications must be made 2 weeks before programme start date and will not be considered after programme enrolment. To apply for this scholarship candidates are required to write an 800-word piece entitled "What will you contribute to the Henley Business School MBA community?". Rowing Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis and can be renewed each academic year subject to satisfactory sporting achievements, academic progress and general conduct. The scholar will be assessed at the end of each year and will need to reapply for an award. John Nike Scholarship – £5,000; This is awarded to a rower that shows a genuine chance of reaching the Olympic Games. Rowing Scholarship – up to £4,000; This is awarded to rowers who are likely to be selected for RUBC’s top boats aiming for BUCS medals. Please note that the criteria are a guide only and do not a guarantee a scholarship.

Master's in Management Scholarships

Our Master's in Management Scholarships are available only to exceptional applicants who can demonstrate an outstanding academic background and work/internship experience from a renowned institution. Before applying for a scholarship, applicants need to have applied for a place on the Master's in Management programme. Applicants are expected to hold a strong 2.1 undergraduate degree or overseas equivalent. Applicants whose first language is not English require a minimum IELTS score of 7.0 with no element below 6.0. It is expected that applicants will also have relevant placement exposure or work experience from a renowned institution. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for interview with the Programme Director.

Once received the Scholarships Team will present all applications to the Scholarships Panel for consideration. Postgraduate Accounting Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis and applicants are therefore advised to submit their application as early as possible in order to be considered for a scholarship. If you are a University of Reading Undergraduate, or alumnus who graduated in the last three years, you are also eligible for an alumni discount on top of any scholarship awarded. Once you have formally accepted your offer of a place and paid the required deposit, your scholarship will be secure and the amount will be deducted from your tuition fees.

Before applying for a scholarship, you need to have received an offer from the Admissions Team for a place on your chosen MSc programme. Upon receiving an offer, you will be eligible to apply for a scholarship through the me@reading student portal. Master’s Scholarships 2020

The University of Reading’s 2020 Master’s Scholarships Scheme offers two funding opportunities: scholarships that are centrally-funded and for which all master’s students are eligible (General Scholarships) scholarships provided by our schools and which are course-specific (Subject Scholarships). General Scholarships - The University has allocated £200,000 in partial scholarships for students commencing their master’s degree studies in the 2020/21 academic year. International students – 35 scholarships of £4,000 each. Subject Scholarships - The Schools featured here offer partial scholarships for students who will be studying the courses listed in the 2020/21 academic year. In order to apply, a candidate must have received an offer of admission to one our participating master’s courses. Scholarship guidelines: In order to apply, a candidate must have received an offer of admission to one our master’s courses; These scholarships take the form of a tuition fee reduction; Study may be on a full-time or part-time basis but flexible learning (modular) master’s courses are excluded; The fee reduction is applied in a single payment at the start of the master's degree; There are two types of scholarships – those for international students (applicants who are classified as overseas for tuition fees purposes) and those for ‘UK/EU students, whose tuition fees are ordinarily lower; Tuition fees are confirmed when an offer of admission is made; Scholarships are awarded primarily on the basis of previous academic accomplishment.

Sporting Excellence Scholarship

The Sporting Excellence Scholarship provides funding to support University of Reading students who compete in sport at national level, or who are on the national pathway. To be eligible to apply for the Sporting Excellence Scholarship, you must be a student with a confirmed place at the University of Reading- you can be a postgraduate, part-time or full-time. international students are all welcome to apply. The national team you represent does not need to be England or Great Britain.

If you are accepted for a scholarship, you will be required to provide evidence of the costs for which you use the scholarship. Master of Architecture Scholarship

To be eligible for the scheme applicants must meet the following criteria: An academic achievement of a UK first-class (or overseas equivalent) Part 1 ARB/RIBA validated award; Accept an offer on the Master of Architecture at the University of Reading by 1 April 2020; Applicants must also satisfy all of their conditions of entry to postgraduate study at the University of Reading. It should be noted that: Payments will be made at the start of each academic year, after enrolment, subject to provision of relevant bank details by the offer holder; Payments will be made for a maximum of two years; Payment for Year 2 is subject to satisfactory progression within the programme in Year 1; The scholarship will not apply to those who defer entry onto the programme.
