Strathclyde Business School Full Time MBA Deans Excellence Awards 2020

Strathclyde Business School is delighted to be able to offer a number of MBA Deans Excellence Scholarships for 2020. Candidates for our Full Time MBA programme in Glasgow will automatically be considered for these scholarships so no separate application is necessary. Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis throughout the course of the year and the final deadline for consideration will be 31 July 2020. Candidates must demonstrate through their ideas, experience and achievements that they are an excellent team player, with a strong vision for the future. Leadership/management skills or potential, overall quality of the application and financial need will also be considered. The award will be judged on a 1000 word statement supplied by each candidate that should state which scholarship you wish to be considered for and should clearly articulate how you meet the scholarship criteria. Please note that we are unable to consider candidates who do not hold an offer of a place on the programme. Students already registered on the programme are ineligible to apply. The successful candidates for the part-time awards will be notified mid September 2020. Awards will automatically be deducted from tuition fees. The award will be judged on a 1000 word statement supplied by each candidate that should state which scholarship you wish to be considered for and should clearly articulate how you meet the scholarship criteria.

Candidates must be self-funded (ie. not in receipt of any funding from any other scholarships, employer sponsorship, etc) and already hold an offer of a place on either the PgCert Data Analytics (online) or PgCert Business Analysis and Consulting (online) programme for entry in September/October 2020. Faculty of Engineering International Scholarships

To be considered for the Faculty of Engineering International Scholarship applicants should have a 2:1 (or equivalent) in their undergraduate degree. The value of the postgraduate taught scholarship award is equivalent to a 15% reduction of your tuition fees for your first year of study. If you are studying a two year MSc programme, you will receive a 15% scholarship for your first year only. This is typically £3,150 for programmes with a tuition fee of £20,900. The amount varies for selected programmes with a different tuition fee, including programmes within Architecture and Biomedical Engineering. Applicants awarded the scholarship and studying an 18 month MSc programme will receive a scholarship equating to 15% of the total cost of their programme. If you're applying for postgraduate research degree programme, you'll receive a scholarship award equivalent to a 15% reduction of your tuition fees for each year of study. Your first year’s scholarship will be £3,150. The Faculty of Engineering’s International Scholarships are only open for self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying applicant enrolling on a full-time course. Those who receive full sponsorship from a government office or embassy are not eligible to apply. Applications are now being accepted and completed application forms should be submitted as early as possible. In order to be considered for a scholarship an applicant must hold an offer to study a full-time course in the 2020/2021 academic year. Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde. Students who do not meet any of the required criteria in this announcement will automatically not be considered The Faculty of Engineering's decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.

Strathclyde Research Studentship Scheme - Research Excellence awards (University REA)

Under the Strathclyde Research Studentship scheme the University awards around 70 PhD studentships annually for students commencing their postgraduate studies. The funds are split between Research Excellence Awards, Student Excellence Awards and John Anderson Research Awards. Students successful in the 2020/2021 competition will commence studies in October 2020. Funding is provided to enhance research excellence through defined projects that support the University’s strategic research ambitions, with a focus on internationally-leading research quality, and the number of postgraduate research opportunities in the specified area at the University. Academic qualifications - Funding is provided for excellent students with a good honours degree at a first- or upper second-class level, awarded within a relevant cognate discipline.
