Vice-Chancellor's Honours Scholarships

Eligibility requirements

  • students commencing Honours study at USC
  • enrolment in an 'end-on' Honours program (ie not an embedded Honours or Professional Honours program)
  • not already in receipt of a USC merit scholarship or a USC Honours or postgraduate Indigenous Scholarship for Honours year of study.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • academic merit, based on GPA for advanced level courses undertaken
  • research focus and potential alignment to a USC area of research concentration - USC Research concentrations
  • intention/motivation for ongoing study/research and pursuit of a Higher Degree by Research (HDR)

Sunshine Coast Mind and Neuroscience - Thompson Institute Research Scholarship

  • Meet eligibility requirements for entry into selected HDR program, and
  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • Have a degree and at least 3 years' work experience in the field of Indigenous health and well being

  • must have completed an undergraduate qualification in any discipline
  • applicants will be considered ineligible if currently in receipt of another major USC or external scholarship (this does not include bursaries)

  • demonstrated involvement within or for indigenous communities

Indigenous Australian Higher Degree by Research Scholarship

Eligibility:

To be eligible for the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) Indigenous Australian HDR Scholarship, applicants:

  • identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander on their Application for Admission to HDR and PGRS
  • are accepted for entry to a higher degree by research (HDR) at USC
  • do not hold an equivalent HDR qualification to that being applied for
  • recipients must maintain satisfactory progress as a full-time higher degree by research candidate at the University of the Sunshine Coast
