Surrey International Masters Scholarship 2020

In order to be eligible, applicants must: Be a national of India, Thailand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Turkey, Vietnam or Ghana; Hold an offer for a full-time masters programme (except MBA); Meet all the conditions of your offer; Be an overseas fee-paying student (this scholarship is not available for students eligible for home/EU fees); Be self-funded (you must be paying for your studies independently rather than being sponsored or in receipt of another scholarship. You may, however, also be in receipt of the Surrey alumni discount). Be registering on the first year of a full-time Masters programme with a September/October 2020 or a February 2021 start date. Surrey is pleased to announce a brand new scholarship scheme aimed at welcoming new masters students to Surrey from seven different countries. The awards are named as follows: Surrey India Masters Scholarship 2020; Surrey Thailand Masters Scholarship 2020; Surrey Nigeria Masters Scholarship 2020; Surrey Pakistan Masters Scholarship 2020; Surrey Turkey Masters Scholarship 2020; Surrey Vietnam Masters Scholarship 2020; Surrey Ghana Masters Scholarship 2020. For programmes of more than one year (i.e. MSc Electronic Engineering (Euromasters FT), the award is payable for the first year of study only.

There is no formal application for this scholarship. All offer holders will be considered against the above and, if successful, the award will be paid in the form of a tuition fee discount.

Asylum Seeker Bursary 2021 Entry

Student requirements

To be considered for the Asylum Seeker Bursary you must: be an asylum seeker or the dependent of an asylum seeker OR been granted Discretionary Leave to Remain (DLR) or be the dependent of someone who has been granted DLR; Be unable to access funding through Student Finance England; Have firmly accepted a place on an undergraduate or postgraduate course at the University of Surrey; Not already hold an equivalent or higher level qualification. Successful applicants will be awarded: A partial tuition fee waiver that will cover the difference between the UK/EU tuition fee and the oversees fee charged (up to £17,500). Under this waiver, students will still be classed as international students but will be able to pay the home rate of fee; a maintenance bursary of up to £1,500 towards set up costs, books, and travel in your first year of study. The tuition fee waiver is available for each year of study. This is unless, as a result of an asylum application, you (or the person of who you are a dependent of) are granted indefinite leave to remain in the UK. If this happens, you must inform the University and the award will cease from the start of the next academic year, when you would be expected to apply for student finance instead.

The 2021/22 Asylum Seeker Bursary Application Pack must be completed and submitted by the deadline date, which is 30 June 2021. Please note that application to the Asylum Seeker Bursary is competitive and not all applications will be successful.

Discounts for Surrey Graduates 2021 Entry

Student requirements

Students graduating in the summer of 2021 may be eligible, as well as alumni from previous years, on receipt of evidence of the award from Surrey and where we can identify that you actually studied in Guildford. Students from SII DUFE are eligible for this scheme. Associated Institution students are not eligible. This scheme is not available to modular self-pacing students. If you are a fully self-funded UK, EU or international student who has studied for an undergraduate degree at the University of Surrey campus in Guildford, you may be eligible for a 20 per cent discount on our taught postgraduate masters programme fees. The discount applies to: September/October 2021 entrants; February 2021 entrants; February 2022 entrants. Note: if applicable and Masters programmes are running with a February intake for the 2021/22 academic year. This scheme is only open to 2021 postgraduate taught entry students who are not in receipt of any external sponsorship. This scheme will be reviewed annually.

Application details

The University will identify eligible students, so there is no application form for this scheme. For eligible students, the required pre-payment (deposit) of tuition fees due for 2021/22 will have to be paid in order to enrol on your programme, as previously detailed to you by the admissions team, then the twenty per cent discount (based on the full fee amount for 2021/22) is deducted from the remaining balance. This means the tuition fee invoice, which will be emailed to your University email account sometime during October/November 2021 or February 2022 will reflect the actual balance due.

Surrey MBA Scholarship 2021 Entry

In order to be eligible: You must hold a lower second-class degree or equivalent, alternatives may be considered, see entry criteria for more information; You must be a UK, EU or overseas student; You must be studying full or part time; EU and overseas' students must comply with the English language requirements (IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall grade with 6.0 in each element or equivalent); Surrey Business School has a significant number of scholarships available for talented individuals applying to our MBA courses. Candidates who apply early in the admissions round may therefore have a greater chance of receiving an award.

All applicants will be automatically considered and in order to be eligible for a scholarship will need to have applied for the MBA course and have submitted all necessary documents for assessment of the application (e.g. transcripts, CV, English language requirements).

Women in Leadership scholarship 2021 Entry

In order to be eligible: You must hold a lower second-class degree or equivalent, alternatives may be considered, see entry criteria for more information; You must be a UK, EU or overseas student; You must be studying full or part time; EU and overseas' students must comply with the English language requirements (IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall grade with 6.0 in each element or equivalent). Our Women in Leadership scholarship which is open to female candidates who can demonstrate their contribution to business and a drive to support other female candidates in the future. The scholarship is open to candidates joining either the Full-time or Executive MBA course. Candidates who apply early in the admissions round may therefore have a greater chance of receiving an award.
