Surrey International Masters Scholarship 2020

In order to be eligible, applicants must: Be a national of India, Thailand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Turkey, Vietnam or Ghana; Hold an offer for a full-time masters programme (except MBA); Meet all the conditions of your offer; Be an overseas fee-paying student (this scholarship is not available for students eligible for home/EU fees); Be self-funded (you must be paying for your studies independently rather than being sponsored or in receipt of another scholarship. You may, however, also be in receipt of the Surrey alumni discount); Be registering on the first year of a full-time Masters programme with a September/October 2020 start date; Surrey is pleased to announce a brand new scholarship scheme aimed at welcoming new masters students to Surrey from seven different countries. The awards are named as follows: Surrey India Masters Scholarship 2020; Surrey Thailand Masters Scholarship 2020; Surrey Nigeria Masters Scholarship 2020; Surrey Pakistan Masters Scholarship 2020; Surrey Turkey Masters Scholarship 2020; Surrey Vietnam Masters Scholarship 2020; Surrey Ghana Masters Scholarship 2020.

Application details

There is no formal application for this scholarship. All offer holders will be considered against the above and, if successful, the award will be paid in the form of a tuition fee discount.

Awards of £2,500 are available to all applicants holding a Surrey offer to study a full-time masters programme in 2020, (except the Surrey MBA). All successful offer holders will be awarded a tuition fee discount of £2,500.

Asylum Seeker Bursary 2020 Entry

Student requirements

To be considered for the Asylum Seeker Bursary you must: Be an asylum seeker or the dependent of an asylum seeker OR been granted Discretionary Leave to Remain (DLR) or be the dependent of someone who has been granted DLR; Be unable to access funding through Student Finance England; Have firmly accepted a place on an undergraduate or postgraduate course at the University of Surrey; Not already hold an equivalent or higher level qualification; Successful applicants will be awarded: A partial tuition fee waiver that will cover the Oversees fee charged (up to £17,500). Under this waiver, students will still be classed as international students but will be able to pay the home rate of fee; A maintenance bursary of up to £1,500 towards set up costs, books, and travel in your first year of study; The tuition fee waiver is available for each year of study. This is unless, as a result of an asylum application, you (or the person of who you are a dependent of) are granted indefinite leave to remain in the UK. If this happens, you must inform the University and the award will cease from the start of the next academic year, when you would be expected to apply for student finance instead.

Surrey MBA Scholarship 2020 Entry

Student requirements

In order to be eligible: You must hold a lower second-class degree or equivalent, alternatives may be considered, see entry criteria for more information; You must be a UK, EU or overseas student; You must be studying full or part time; EU and overseas' students must comply with the English language requirements (IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall grade with 6.0 in each element or equivalent); Surrey Business School has a significant number of scholarships available for talented individuals applying to our MBA courses.

Application details

All applicants will be automatically considered and in order to be eligible for a scholarship will need to have applied for the MBA course and have submitted all necessary documents for assessment of the application (e.g. transcripts, CV, English language requirements).
