Vice-Chancellor International Scholarships Scheme

Eligibility requirements

You must:

  • be an international student
  • have applied for but not yet commenced a CRICOS-registered bachelor’s degree or master’s by coursework degree, which is delivered face-to-face (not online) in Australia
  • receive an unconditional offer of admission by the relevant close date.

The Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarships are awarded to exceptional international students. 

Application details

No application is required, as all eligible students will be automatically considered.

Value details

AUD $40,000 payable for one year in two equal instalments; AUD $20,000 payable for one year in two equal instalments; AUD $10,000 payable for one semester; AUD $5,000 payable for one semester

Wigram Allen Scholarships for the Juris Doctor – International

Australia Awards Scholarships (AAS)

Study level

Eligibility requirements

AAS are funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) as part of Australia’s foreign aid program. The AAS provide opportunities for people from selected developing countries to study in Australia. These Scholarships are awarded either on merit or on nomination by home governments. Information and application forms for the AAS must be obtained directly from the Australian Diplomatic Mission or the Australian Education Centre in your home country. Application process may take up to one year.
Successful scholarship recipients will be eligible for a University of Sydney application fee refund if they remain enrolled after the first census date.

Los Angeles Industry Placement Program Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in a Sydney Business School undergraduate program, including the combined commerce degree program and have completed a minimum of 96 credit points of study prior to commencing their placement.

Applicants must have a minimum credit average (65 and above) in their undergraduate studies.

Applicants must also be able to demonstrate that they have been an outstanding ambassador for the Sydney Business School through their academic achievements, leadership potential, problem-solving acuity and ability to work in a diverse group.

Washington DC Industry Placement Program Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in a Sydney Business School undergraduate program, including the combined commerce degree program and have completed a minimum of 48 credit points of study prior to commencing their placement.

Applicants must have a minimum credit average (65 and above) in their undergraduate studies.

Applicants must also be able to demonstrate that they have been an outstanding ambassador for the Sydney Business School through their academic achievements, leadership potential, problem-solving acuity and ability to work in a diverse group.

Nancy Roma Paech Postgraduate Scholarships

The Faculty of Agriculture and Environment offers a limited number of Nancy Roma Paech Postgraduate Scholarships. A full-time postgraduate scholarship to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in Agriculture, is available for a suitably qualified candidate with an interest in the disciplines pertaining to agricultural science.

Paris Industry Placement Program Scholarship

Study level

Postgraduate

Eligibility requirements

Candidates must be enrolled in a coursework degree in the University of Sydney Business School at the University of Sydney. Combined degree students are also eligible.

Candidates must be currently enrolled in BUSS2502 or BUSS6504. Students who have previously completed BUSS2502 or BUSS6504 are not eligible.

Candidates must have completed a minimum of 48 credit points of study with a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70, unless they can demonstrate financial hardship, in which case a minimum WAM of 65 is required.
