AMC Principal's Merit Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

Available to high achieving international students who have an offer of a full-time place in one of the following AMC onshore courses, commencing in Semester 1 or 2, 2019.

Undergraduate - Semester 1, 2019

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Specialisation) Honours (P4F1)

Postgraduate - Semester 1 and Semester 2, 2019

  • Master of Logistics Management (Advanced) (27G)
  • Master of Business Administration (Advanced) (Maritime and Logistics Management) (27C)
  • Master of Engineering (Maritime Design) (27B1)
  • Master of Professional Engineering (Specialisation) (N7E)

Selection will be based on academic merit and the quality of the applicant's 750-1000 word statement of purpose.

On-going Eligibility

To maintain this scholarship, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Credit (5.0/7.0) cumulative grade point average (CGPA) result in their eligible AMC degree units at the end of each academic year.

Value details

AMC Global Logistics Relocation Bursary

Study level

Eligibility requirements

Available to international students who are commencing a Bachelor of Global Logistics and Maritime Management (P3E), onshore at the AMC in Semester 1 or Semester 2, 2019.

Students must be enrolled in a full-time load, equating to a minimum of four 12.5% units per semester post-census date to receive payment of the bursary.

Students in receipt of another University of Tasmania Scholarship (i.e. Tasmanian International Scholarship) are not eligible to receive this relocation bursary.

On-going Eligibility

To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass (4.0/7.0) result in all units studied each semester.

Application details

Students are assessed automatically for the Global Logistics Relocation Bursary upon submission of their International Student Application, there is no need to submit a separate scholarship application.

Health Relocation Bursaries

Study level

Eligibility requirements

Students must be commencing Year 1 of their Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science or Bachelor of Nutrition Science or Bachelor of Laboratory Medicine and must be enrolled in a full-time load, equating to a minimum of four 12.5% units per semester post-census date to receive payment of the bursary.

If a student has already accepted a scholarship from the University (e.g. the Tasmanian International Scholarship) they are not eligible to receive the Health Relocation Bursary.

Application details

Students are assessed automatically for the Health relocation bursary upon submission of their International Student Application, there is no need to submit a separate scholarship application.

Value details

The bursary will be paid in two equal amounts ($1,500) directly into the student's nominated bank account the first week after census date in Semester 1 and Semester 2 respectively.

Pharmacy Relocation Bursaries

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible to receive the Pharmacy relocation bursary, students must be enrolled onshore in a full-time load per semester (e.g. 4 x 12.5% units or equiv) post-census date for the first semester in which you commence studies (either semester 1 or semester 2).

Students completing an English Language UTAS Access-Direct Entry program at the University of Tasmania directly prior to commencing their pharmacy program will in addition to the Pharmacy Relocation Bursary, also be eligible to receive a reimbursement of up to AUD $3,500 for their English language fees (excl FSP graduates or TIS recipients). 

The relocation bursary is not available to students completing the Foundation Studies Program or packaged combined degrees or Faculty of Arts programs as pathways into non-Faculty degrees.

Students who have been awarded the Tasmanian International Scholarship will not be eligible to qualify for the relocation bursary.
