  • Commencing full-time enrolment in the Bachelor of Design in Architecture; and
  • Achieve an ATAR or equivalent of 69 or above, excluding bonus points or be an applicant who has accepted an offer through the Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research Direct Entry Programme; and

UTS Insearch to UTS Pathways Scholarship

To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Must be an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia); and
  • Must have completed a UTS Insearch Diploma, and have an overall GPA of 6.0 or above in their Diploma; and
  • Meet the UTS admission criteria for the selected UTS undergraduate degree course; and
  • Must be commencing studies in a UTS undergraduate degree that directly articulates from their UTS Insearch Diploma course, in the next available intake after completion of the candidate’s Diploma.

Dr Bob Morgan Indigenous International Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for the scholarship an applicant must:

  • be of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent and provide either:
  1. a Confirmation of Aboriginality from a Local Aboriginal Land Council or other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander organisation; or
  2. a UTS Statutory Declaration form accompanied by two written references from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people from the applicant’s community who can confirm their identity and are not an immediate family member; and
  • have completed at least one (1) session (equivalent to 24 credit points) of study in a UTS undergraduate course with a minimum pass average; and
  • be enrolled in a UTS undergraduate course for the duration of the scholarship.

In addition to the above, the applicant must undertake one of the following within the calendar year in which the scholarship is offered:

  • in-country study as an enrolled UTS International Studies student; or
  • an exchange program at a UTS-approved overseas institution; or
  • an overseas experience which can be demonstrated to enhance their educational experience.

UTS Jumbunna Honours Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

UTS President's Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for the UTSP, a student must:

  • be an overseas student as defined in the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (Cth); and
  • purchase and maintain a standard OSHC policy approved by the Commonwealth government Department of Health and Ageing; and
  • be commencing full-time enrolment in a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) at UTS (UTSPs are not available to applicants whose enrolment into a postgraduate research program has not been accepted by the University);
  • be undertaking study in a subject area identified by the University as one of its areas of research concentration; and
  • not have completed a degree at the same or higher level as the proposed candidature; and
  • not previously have held an Australian Government-funded postgraduate research scholarship, unless it was terminated within six months of the scholarship payments commencing; and
  • not be receiving an equivalent award, scholarship (excluding an IPRS) or salary providing a benefit greater than 75% of the UTSP stipend rate to undertake the HDR. Income earned from sources unrelated to the course of study is not subject to the 75% rule.

International Research Training Program Scholarship (IRTP)

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for an IRTP, a student must: (a) be undertaking a higher degree by research (HDR) as an overseas student as defined in the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (Cth) at the University in the year of the IRTP Stipend (IRTP Stipends are not available to applicants whose enrolment into a postgraduate research program has not been accepted by the University) in an accredited HDR course; and (b) not be receiving an equivalent award, stipend or salary providing a benefit greater than 75% of the IRTP Scholarship stipend rate to undertake the HDR. Income earned from sources unrelated to the course of study is not subject to the 75% rule; and (c) Not receive an equivalent award or scholarship from the Commonwealth designed to offset HDR fees.

To be eligible for the UTS IRS, a student must:

  • be an overseas student as defined in the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (Cth); and

  • not have held an Australian Agency for International Development scholarship within the two years prior to commencing the UTS IRS; and
  • not be receiving a scholarship for which course tuition is a component under any other scholarship scheme to which the Australian Government makes a substantial contribution; and
  • not previously have received a UTS IRS for a research doctorate degree, unless converting to a research master's degree; and
  • not previously have received an UTS IRS for a research master's degree, unless: ii) that degree was completed and the student is immediately undertaking a research doctorate degree; or ii) the student has converted their HDR under paragraph 3.25.15 of the Commonwealth Scholarships Guidelines (Research) 2010

UTS Grant for Masters by Coursework Students

To be eligible for the Grant, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Must be an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia); and
  • Must remain an international student post census date for the session in which they receive the Grant; and
  • Must be commencing full-time on-campus (Sydney) in 2019; and
  • Must meet all admission criteria for the Master by coursework program at UTS; and
  • Must have completed a Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Australia with a minimum overall average of 60% (where the pass mark is 50%) no longer than 1 year prior to commencing at UTS, and must be admitted based on this qualification to UTS; and
  • Must not be a recipient of a scholarship, grant or the Alumni Advantage Program from UTS; and
  • Must not be enrolled in a UTS Transnational program;
  • Must not be a government sponsored student; and
  • Must not be a student whose course at UTS forms as part of a package offer.

  • Must be a citizen of a country in the South East Asia region (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar [Burma], Philippines, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam); and
  • Must be an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia);  and
  • Must have completed in South East Asia (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar [Burma], Philippines, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam) one of the following:
  1. an Australian Year 12 qualification, or
  2. a UTS recognised high school qualification comparable to an Australian Year 12, or
  3. a UTS recognised Australian Foundation Studies program,

             and be admitted to UTS based on this qualification.

  • Must meet all admission requirements for the selected UTS undergraduate coursework program; and

  • Must not have completed any studies in Australia; and
  • Must not be enrolled in a UTS Transnational Program.

LATAM International Postgraduate Coursework Scholarship

Complexity at Small Scales with Circuit QED Quantum Simulators

  • Excellent undergraduate first-class Honours degree or Master’s degree in an appropriate subject area, such as physics or engineering
  • Completed undergraduate/graduate courses in quantum physics and other relevant subject areas.
  • Experience with some relevant computer programming languages (e.g., Matlab or Python).
  • Candidates will require an appropriate level of competence in written and spoken English.

Selection Criteria

  • Quality of academic record in undergraduate courses in quantum physics and other relevant subject areas, such as electronics, quantum information, quantum optics, solid-state physics.
  • Demonstrated skills in numerical modelling (e.g., in Python or Matlab), experiments, fabrication or electronics will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated research experience.
  • Quality of reports from listed referees.
  • Quality of written and spoken English.
