UTS International Baccalaureate (IB) Scholarship

Eligibility requirements
To be eligible to apply for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
- Must be an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia); and
- Commence full-time studies on campus (Sydney). On campus studies include face-to-face and/or online (remote) learning applicable to all degrees except online degrees and distance mode degrees.; and
- Must be completing or have completed an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma no longer than 1 year prior to commencing at UTS, and be admitted based on this qualification to UTS; and
- Meet the UTS admission criteria for the selected UTS undergraduate degree course; and
- Must obtain an aggregate score including bonus and penalty points of 28 or above in their International Baccalaureate (IB) final grades, or 33 or above in their International Baccalaureate predicted grades at the point the scholarship decision is made; and
- All candidates must apply using the UTS online Scholarships application form to be eligible; and
Must not:
- be studying a UTS online degree or distance mode degree; or
- be a government sponsored student; or
- be a recipient of another UTS scholarship for the duration of this Scholarship.

UTS Vice-Chancellor’s International Postgraduate Coursework Scholarship

To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must:
- be an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia); and
- meet all admission requirements for the selected postgraduate coursework program by the closing date of the scholarship application; and
- commence full-time studies on campus (Sydney). On campus studies include face-to-face and/or online (remote) learning applicable to all degrees except online degrees and distance mode degrees.; and
- have completed a Bachelor degree, comparable to an Australian Bachelor degree, no longer than three (3) years prior to commencing at UTS and be admitted based on this qualification to UTS; and
- have an overall average of 90% where the pass mark is 50% or equivalent in a UTS recognised Bachelor qualification; and
- all applicants must apply using the UTS online Scholarships Application form to be eligible; and
Must not:
- be studying a UTS online degree or distance mode degree; or
- be a government sponsored student; or
- be a recipient of another UTS scholarship for the duration of this Scholarship.

UTS Vice-Chancellor’s International Undergraduate Scholarship

- meet all admission requirements for the selected course by the closing date of the scholarship application; and

International Research Scholarship

Eligibility requirements
To be eligible for the UTS IRS, a student must:
- be an overseas student as defined in the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (Cth); and
- purchase and maintain a standard OSHC policy approved by the Commonwealth government Department of Health and Ageing; and
- be commencing full-time enrolment in a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) at UTS;
- be undertaking study in a subject area identified by the University as one of its areas of research concentration; and
- not hold a research qualification regarded by the University to be equivalent to an Australian research doctorate degree or, if undertaking a research master's degree, not hold a research qualification regarded by the provider to be equivalent to or higher than an Australian research master's degree; and
- not have held an Australian Agency for International Development scholarship within the two years prior to commencing the UTS IRS; and
- not be receiving a scholarship for which course tuition is a component under any other scholarship scheme to which the Australian Government makes a substantial contribution; and
- not previously have received a UTS IRS for a research doctorate degree, unless converting to a research master's degree; and
- not previously have received an UTS IRS for a research master's degree, unless: ii) that degree was completed and the student is immediately undertaking a research doctorate degree; or ii) the student has converted their HDR under paragraph 3.25.15 of the Commonwealth Scholarships Guidelines (Research) 2010

International Research Training Program Scholarship (IRTP)

Eligibility requirements
To be eligible for the IRTP, a student must:
- be undertaking a higher degree by research (HDR) as an overseas student as defined in the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (Cth) at the University in the year of the IRTP Stipend (IRTP Stipends are not available to applicants whose enrolment into a postgraduate research program has not been accepted by the University) in an accredited HDR course; and
- not be receiving an equivalent award, stipend or salary providing a benefit greater than 75% of the IRTP Scholarship stipend rate to undertake the HDR. Income earned from sources unrelated to the course of study is not subject to the 75% rule; and
- Not receive an equivalent award or scholarship from the Commonwealth designed to offset HDR fees.

UTS Insearch to UTS Pathways Scholarship

Eligibility requirements
To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
• Must be an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia); and
• Must have completed a UTS Insearch Diploma in Sydney, and have an overall GPA of 6.0 or above in their Diploma; and
• Meet the UTS admission criteria for the selected UTS undergraduate degree course; and
• Must be commencing studies in a UTS undergraduate degree that directly articulates from their UTS Insearch Diploma course, in the next available intake after completion of the candidate’s Diploma; and
• All candidates must apply using the UTS online Scholarships Application form to be eligible.
Selection process
Recipient selection will be based on the following criteria:
• Motivation to succeed in your chosen UTS degree program, as demonstrated by the Scholarship application; and
• Commitment to utilise your UTS degree to help your community, as demonstrated by the Scholarship application; and
• Personal experience and achievement, including but not limited to examples of community service, innovation or entrepreneurship, as demonstrated in the Scholarship application.
• Academic merit based on UTS Insearch Diploma results may also be considered.

To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
- Must remain an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia); and
- Must complete a UTS Foundation Studies program undertaken at UTS Insearch in Sydney with a minimum overall GPA of 8.5 out of 10.0 and no fail; and
- Must meet all admission requirements for the selected UTS undergraduate course; and
- Must be commencing studies full-time and on campus (Sydney) in a UTS undergraduate degree in the next available intake after completion of the candidate’s Foundation Studies program. On campus studies include face-to-face and/or online (remote) learning applicable to all degrees except online degrees and distance mode degrees
Must not:
- be studying a UTS online degree or distance mode degree; or
- be a government sponsored student; or
- be a recipient of another UTS scholarship for the duration of this Scholarship.
Selection process
The Scholarship will be awarded to the applicant with the highest GPA in the UTS Foundation Studies program completed at UTS Insearch in Sydney.
Where there are multiple applicants with the same results, further consideration will be given to the answer to the following:
- Motivation to succeed in your chosen UTS degree program, as demonstrated by the Scholarship application; and
- Commitment to utilize your UTS degree to help your community, as demonstrated by the Scholarship application.

UTS President's Scholarship

To be eligible for the UTSP, a student must:
- be an overseas student as defined in the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (Cth); and

- be commencing full-time enrolment in a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) at UTS (UTSPs are not available to applicants whose enrolment into a postgraduate research program has not been accepted by the University);
- be undertaking study in a subject area identified by the University as one of its areas of research concentration; and
- not have completed a degree at the same or higher level as the proposed candidature; and
- not previously have held an Australian Government-funded postgraduate research scholarship, unless it was terminated within six months of the scholarship payments commencing; and
- not be receiving an equivalent award, scholarship (excluding an IPRS) or salary providing a benefit greater than 75% of the UTSP stipend rate to undertake the HDR. Income earned from sources unrelated to the course of study is not subject to the 75% rule.

- Must be an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia); and
- Must be admitted to UTS based on a UTS recognised Diploma qualification from South East Asia (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar [Burma], Philippines, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam) with a GPA of 3.4 out of 4.0 or equivalent; and
- Must meet all admission requirements for the selected UTS undergraduate coursework program; and
- Must be commencing full-time time study at UTS on campus; and
- Must not have completed studies in Australia; and
- Must not be in receipt of any other UTS scholarship/s ; and
- Must not be enrol in a UTS Transnational Program.

- Must have completed a Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Australia with a minimum overall average of 60% (where the pass mark is 50%) no longer than 1 year prior to commencing at UTS, and must be admitted based on this qualification to UTS; and
- Must not be a recipient of a scholarship, grant or the Alumni Advantage Program from UTS; and
- Must not be enrolled in a UTS Transnational program;
- Must not be a government sponsored student; and
- Must not be a student whose course at UTS forms as part of a package offer.

Academic merit in a completed tertiary qualification recognised by UTS from a country other than Australia for entry into the selected UTS postgraduate coursework program.
