To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an Indian or Bangladeshi citizen;
  • Receive an offer for 2020 for a place in a Bachelor of Laws or a Bachelor of Laws (Graduate entry) offered by the University of Wollongong.
  • Remain enrolled as a full time student in an LLB program at the University of Wollongong for the duration of my degree program.  

One for a student from India; one for a student from Bangladesh.

UOW Sydney Business School Bursary Scheme

Eligibility requirements

The UOW Sydney Business School Bursary Scheme is for students, commencing their first course at Sydney Business School, University of Wollongong. The bursary is available for student enrolled at the Sydney or Wollongong campus.

The bursary will apply to students from the following nationalities: Argentinian, Bangladeshi, Bolivian, Brazilian, Chinese, Cambodian, Chilean, Colombian, Ecuadorian, Ghanaian, Guyanese, Indian, Indonesian, Iranian, Kenyan, Mongolian, Myanmarese, Nepalese, Nigerian, Pakistani, Paraguayan, Peruvian, Sri Lankan, Surinamese, Thai, Turkish, Uruguayan, Venezuelan, Vietnamese and Zimbabwean.

Students enrolled in the following courses as at the census date of Trimester 1, Trimester 2 or Trimester 3, 2019 are eligible for a Bursary Scheme for up to 16 subjects completed under the following courses:

  • Master of Applied Finance (Single and Double Specialisation)
  • Master of Business (Single and Double Specialisation)
  • Master of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration (Advanced)
  • Master of Professional Accounting and Master of Professional Accounting (Advanced) or
  • Master of Science (Single and Double Specialisation)

OR

  • Students enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Business, the Graduate Certificate of Professional Accounting or the Graduate Certificate of Applied Finance as at the Census Date of Trimester 1, Trimester 2 or Trimester 3, 2019 who also have a packaged offer with one of the Master courses listed above are eligible for a Bursary Scheme for up to 16 subjects completed under both the Graduate Certificate and the Master courses

Students deferring the start of their course until 2020 or a later year are not eligible for the Bursary Scheme

The scholarship provides a 20% tuition fee waiver for the minimum duration of the course as outlined in your offer letter.

The scholarship is available to students enrolling in a Bachelor degree within the Science, Medicine and Health Faculty, excluding: Doctor of Medicine; Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, Exercise Science & Rehabilitation, Education, Social Work and Psychology (all degrees).

Must have an offer to study at University of Wollongong South West Sydney Campus.

The scholarship is available to students enrolling in Bachelor degrees in the following faculties: Engineering and Information Sciences; Business; Law, Humanities and the Arts (excluding Bachelor of Nursing)

Must be an international student from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Vietnam or onshore international.

2019 International Partial Tuition Scholarships

Eligibility requirements

There are fifteen (15) annual International Partial Tuition Scholarships available for international students commencing their first Masters course at UOW’s Sydney Business School. Awarded at the start of each session.

Students have an offer letter and remain enrolled in one (1) of the following Sydney Business School, University of Wollongong Masters courses for the duration of their course:

  • Master of Business Administration
  • Master of Business Administration (Advanced)
  • Masters of Business
  • Master of Business (Double Specialisation)
  • Master of Professional Accounting
  • Master of Professional Accounting (Advanced)
  • Master of Applied Finance
  • Master of Applied Finance (Investing and Corporate Treasury)
  • Master of Science (Supply Chain Management and/or Project Management)

To be eligible to apply for the Scholarship students need to:

  • Have a Bachelor degree or Graduate Certificate with an Australian equivalent weighted average mark of at least 70%.

Address the following three (3) selection criteria in 500 words or less:

  • Motivation for studying your selected program at Sydney Business School, University of Wollongong
  • Outline how you believe this degree will help you achieve your career goals and personal aspirations
  • Describe the value you believe you will bring to your fellow students

Be enrolling in a Business Masters course at the University of Wollongong for the first time.

Commence study in the trimester of which they are applying for the Scholarship

Smart Sodium Storage Solution (S4) Project PhD Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

The Faculty of Business at the University of Wollongong (UOW) is seeking a high-calibre candidate to undertake a PhD in modelling the economic impact of sodium-ion batteries for renewable energy storage. 

Essential:

  • Bachelor degree in economics or another degree with an economics major;
  • Demonstrated experience in report writing;
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills;
  • English language proficiency: IELTS of 6.5 or above or equivalent.

Desirable:

  • Quantitative and modelling skills and a knowledge of energy economics;
  • Experience in cost and benefit analysis;
  • Experience in economic forecasting.

PhD Scholarship on Renewable Energy in Power Grids

The Australian Power Quality and Reliability Centre (APQRC) at the University of Wollongong (UOW) is seeking a high-calibre candidate to undertake a PhD in cutting edge Large-scale Renewables in Power Grids in the Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Project, “Wide-area Interconnected Clean Energy Highway”.

Successful applicant will have a bachelor degree with first class honours or master degree in electrical engineering majoring in power engineering discipline. Research experience in computer simulations, modelling and control of grid connected renewables, interconnected power grids, and/or storage system integration with renewables would be extremely beneficial, and will be highly valued during the selection process. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to clearly and concisely report on their research and findings to a number of different audiences, and therefore excellent communication skills are essential.
