The Welch Experience
The Jack Welch College of Business enrolls over 950 students in its undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Its curriculum emphasizes core business skills and knowledge, communications skills, and ethics. The College offers undergraduate programs in the subject areas of accounting, business economics, finance, management, marketing and sport management. The Master of Business Administration offers concentrations in accounting, finance, management and marketing.
Professional post-baccalaureate study is offered through graduate certificates in accounting, corporate finance, financial management, global investments, international business, leadership, and marketing.

When students study abroad on a SHU Affiliated study abroad program, they are still registered as a SHU student; whether there are at the SHU campus or abroad. There are over 40 professors, who are recognized scholars and experienced practitioners from the business world. Faculty are encouraged to conduct research and writing and as such, are re-evaluated every five years to ensure they remain current in business practices.

The College’s proximity to New York City and Boston are a great advantage for students who want to live and work in a major city. Some of the companies that have offered internships or jobs to Sacred Heart University students include GE, PricewaterhouseCooper, IBM, Unilever, Credit Suisse First Boston, NASDAQ, Madison Square Garden, Tetley USA, Pepperidge Farm, Octagon Sport Marketing and Ernst & Young.
Business courses are offered at the Fairfield campus as well as at the Stamford, Connecticut campus and the Luxembourg campus in Europe. Several classes are offered through state-of-the-art video broadcasting. These video conferences allow European and American students to learn from and with one another simultaneously.
