Founded in 1906, Suffolk University is a four-year, private university that proudly welcomes international students to downtown Boston and Madrid campuses. Suffolk offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs in its College of Arts & Sciences, Sawyer Business School, and Law School. Nearly a quarter of their students come from abroad, and Suffolk has the fifth-largest proportion of international students among US colleges and universities, according to U.S. News & World Report.
Suffolk University is in an ideal position: right next to Boston’s Financial and Innovation Districts, and down the street from global corporate headquarters and cutting-edge start-ups. A student’s education will be tied in to the engines that drive the economies of the city, region, and the world. Professors who work in and consult for major enterprises—and who are connected to employment opportunities throughout the city—teach Suffolk classes.
With more than 60 areas of study to select from, students are able to find subjects they are passionate about, and that are custom-built to lead to rich career opportunities. The curriculum makes hands-on experience part of every major. Students get an inside view of the day-to-day operations of companies like Bose, Google, Merrill Lynch, and PUMA, at internships for credit.
Suffolk is within walking distance of museums, historic sites, restaurants, world-class shopping, Boston Common, the Financial District, and Massachusetts State House, theaters, and so much more.
