The University of Oklahoma popularly known as OU is a public research university based out of Norman, a 30-minute ride from the state capital of Oklahoma City. OU was established in 1890 and is home to more than 20,000 students enrolled on various programs. OU offers more than 150 majors and charges the second lowest fees among the Big 12 public universities. OU welcomes international students from all around the world and has a strong community of Indian students.
