The university works hard to present opportunities for undergraduate students to build their CV and professional profile before graduation. Students at all levels play an important role in the research enterprise at Wayne State. The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) invites students from the hard sciences, social sciences, performing arts and humanities to participate in funded undergraduate research. UROP is a unique opportunity for students to work on part of a faculty member's current research project or to develop an independent project of their own that is guided by a faculty member. The academic year culminates with the Conference for Undergraduate Research and Creative Projects, during which students present posters and oral presentations about their work.
