After receiving droves of entries to our image contest from universities around the world, we've shortlisted the Top 30 [Update: We have had to remove one entry due to issues over correct approval for wider use of their entry] which we feel really highlight something extraordinary and special about those institutions. These include Confucius playing Einstein at chess; legendary rock musicians posing with graduates; views from outer space; and even geese accompanying students to class – it’s quite an eye-catching variety!
Scroll down to see the shortlisted entries. Click on your favourite to be taken to it on our Facebook page so you can vote by LIKING it. If a photo piques your interest, browse that university's profile to learn more about them.
How do I vote?
Simply click the link below your favourite entry and you’ll be taken to it in our Facebook album, where you can vote for it by LIKING it. You can also browse all the shortlisted entries in this album.

One of my favourite things about the University of York is the preponderance of friendly Greylag Geese that comfortably (mostly) coexist with the students. This picture combines the lake in the background, a student on his way to class, a glorious and sunny York day and some geese – everything one needs to know about the Uni I think.’ [Photo by Nathaniel McCain]
