If you’re up for some laughs, this Hollywood comedy is based on a group of teenagers who graduated from school. There are some good actors and this movie has won many awards such as the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award. It was listed in the top 100 inspiring films of America in 2006 and it remains as one of the best up till now. Definitely a great stress reliever.

 

The Sound of Music

Has your workload prevented you from doing fun adventurous stuff like hill walking? Why not imagine that you’re out dancing in huge wide fields as you watch and sing to The Sound of Music? Not only is music good at helping to manage stress, but the classic songs will put a smile on your face and help you relax. A sports drama, this 2009 movie is about a football player who had an impoverished upbringing, one that most people can relate to. Students who are doing social or cultural studies might find this movie useful as the film received some controversial reviews. Whatever it is, no one can really say no to Hollywood’s sweetheart Sandra Bullock.

 

Love Actually

Old but gold – Love Actually was released in 2003 and it is just purely romantic. There are 10 short love stories in the single film and even if it’s not Christmas yet, this Christmas-themed romantic comedy film will put you in the brightest spirits. You might even walk away with some love tips or a different perspective on love!

 

Babe

For all the animal lovers, this story which revolves around a pig is a lovely combination of comedy and drama. The talking animal visual effects and all the cute animals are bound to make you go ‘awww’ and as the story explores themes like loyalty, faith and affection, you’ll soon enough forget about your stressful week and start focusing on other important aspects in your life.
