LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore has this month been awarded the EduTrust Certification Scheme for its outstanding strengths in management and quality education services.

It is the first home-grown Singaporean institution to receive the coveted accolade and scored particularly well in teaching facilities and quality of its staff.

The private college offers more than 30 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in art, design, film, animation, fashion, dance, music, theatre, arts management, artist education, art therapy, and Asian art histories.

"The EduTrust Star puts a seal on several years of concerted hard work to take the College to a new level of dynamism, quality and excellence,” said President of LASALLE, Professor Steve Dixon. “It has been my great pride and privilege to lead such an exceptional body of staff towards the achievement of this award.

This award affirms our unwavering commitment to our students, who deserve the best in a quality art education in Singapore.”

Founded in 1984 when it had 27 students, LASALLE now has 2,600 students and its alumni include singer and actress, Kit Chan, award-winning filmmaker, Boo Junfeng, and Ilo Ilo producer, Yuni Hadi.
