The majority of LCI Melbourne’s academic faculty are practicing professionals with strong links to industry. They are reputable professional copywriters, advertising creatives, fashion designers, photographers, graphic designers, multimedia designers, filmmakers, and visual artists.

LCI Melbourne gives students the opportunity to create their own future with its Bachelor of Design Arts. The Bachelor of Design Arts or B(DA) is a multi-disciplinary degree that helps students discover their creative potential. Students can customise their degree as they progress. During the first year, students can explore different facets of design and art through hands-on workshops, lectures and creative labs. Students can personalise the remaining portion of their degree with a major and sub-major in the areas of:
The B(DA) offers students a balance of sub-major, major, contextual, core, and professional studies.
It combines design practice and design thinking, with hands-on experience. Students will have the opportunity to work with active designers and artists.
LCI Melbourne has an academic calendar based around trimesters, where students can obtain a degree in two years, or if needed three.
Students can explore ideas of multidisciplinary design, informed by principles of creative design, collaborative practice models and engagement.
Students choose their major area of study in LCI Melbourne’s unique design labs, complemented by specialist electives and additional design workshops. Some design lab specialisations include fashion, costume, interior design, visual communication, graphics, digital design, web design, film, and photography. Students can choose to focus on one or blend specialisations.
Students will focus and specialise in an extended design lab with independent design proposals that are personalised. Mentors and expert academics will guide students to innovative outcomes and prepare them for their future career.
International students are required to meet certain criteria to gain admission at LCI Melbourne:
International students at LCI Melbourne must pay their tuition fees upfront for two trimesters. After which, payment must be done for one trimester in advance for the rest of the programme.
