Overview

Perth College was established over 120 years ago by the Community of the Sisters of the Church, an Anglican religious order and is one of the oldest independent girls’ schools in Western Australia. From its original site in West Perth, Perth College developed rapidly and moved in 1916 to its current location in Mount Lawley. Right from inception, Perth College was determined to challenge existing ideas about women’s education. Perth College welcomes international students from all over the world, thus helping to create a multicultural community with a focus on inclusivity, respect and positive education. The principles of positive education in schools underpin all endeavours at Perth College. The college’s teachers and staff are specialist educators of girls, trained in the principles of positive education in schools and the science of human flourishing.
