The University of Canberra College (UC College) offers a pathway to the University of Canberra (UC).
It teaches academic and language programs for those who don’t quite meet the entry requirements for a UC degree program. Students can then progress to degree-level study at the university.

UC College is based on the university’s main campus, where students are treated the same as degree-level students. They can make use of all services and facilities available on campus. There’s even guaranteed on-campus accommodation.

UC College students are part of the wider University of Canberra community. UC is a university that’s recognised globally for its academic excellence.
In its most recent global rankings, THE placed UC within the top 10 universities in Australia. UC also ranks within the top 200 universities in the world.
The university jumped up nine places in 2021. This makes it one of the fastest-rising universities in the international rankings. It joined THE’s rankings in 2015, where it placed within the top 501-600 universities.

UC and UC College teachers are highly qualified and passionate about their subjects. They use their own experiences to help learners develop their knowledge base and skillsets. Teachers provide dedicated support and are committed to helping students reach their goals.
Almost 90 per cent of UC’s degrees have WIL embedded into them. This means students have many opportunities for practical experiences, where they can prepare for professional careers. This is reflected in UC’s graduate employment rate: 89 per cent of UC graduates find work or further study soon after leaving university. They also enjoy high starting salaries (QLIT 2018).
At UC College, students receive a personalised experience. Academic classes have no more than 25 students, and English language classes have up to 18. There’s plenty of face-to-face teaching where students engage in collaborative learning. Teaching methods include lectures, practical sessions and tutorials.
Programs at UC College are taught in English. Students need to have a good understanding of the language to make the most of their classes. They can demonstrate their language proficiency through the following IELTS test results, or equivalent:

The University of Canberra College English Language Centre (UCCELC) offers intensive English language courses. These help non-native English speakers improve their day-to-day English skills and academic abilities. The ELICOS course prepares international students for their studies at UC and UC College.
New international students to UC College in 2021 may be eligible for a scholarship to assist with their tuition costs.
A tuition fee discount of AUD 2,500 is available for high-achieving students applying to study a diploma program.
A tuition fee discount of AUD 2,000 is available for eligible students.
A tuition fee discount of ten per cent on the ELICOS weekly rate in a program package is available for students from Europe, Cambodia, Japan, Indonesia, Mongolia, Malaysia, Laos, Thailand, South Korea and Vietnam. A 20 per cent discount is available for students from Central and Latin America.
A tuition fee discount of AUD 1,000 is available for students on the GCAF course, if it’s packaged with a UC master’s program.
Eligible students may also receive a follow-on scholarship from the University of Canberra for their UC bachelor’s or master’s degree.

UC College students often have guaranteed entry to a UC degree program after the successful completion of their studies. Depending on the level of study, they can enter directly to the first or second year of a bachelor’s degree program.
