You’ll never need to set foot on campus, which is perfect if you wish to continue working while you study.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements

Students applying to study with the University of South Australia Online are expected to have completed or achieved one of the following:

  • A minimum of half a year of full-time study of a higher education program at a recognised higher education provider.
  • An award in Vocational Education Training (VET) from a recognised training organisation at the level of a Certificate IV or above.
  • A secondary education qualification equivalent to SACE, proportionate to an interstate year 12 or international qualification.

As well as the above academic entry requirements, international students who list English as their second language should have completed a recognised English language test, such as the IELTS, and obtained the minimum entry requirement score within the last two years prior to admission. Students may also be required to provide proof of prior study or work experience.

24/7 interactive online environment

The University of South Australia Online’s interactive online environment supports all your learning needs. All your course content including everything from videos, readings, weekly activities, quizzes and assessment tasks are available online so you can log in anywhere, any time and on any device.

Digital library

The University of South Australia stocks more than 700,000 digital resources including videos, e-books and journal articles. Students can use the library’s virtual service to locate and reference any information resources they require.

Build your own ePortfolio

The ePortfolio can be used as a personal online space for storing academic texts, photos, videos, and multimedia. It can also be used for other important activities such as building a resume, publishing a blog, or networking with friends and colleagues.

Scholarships & funding

Scholarships & funding

At the University of South Australia Online, students with the highest cumulative grade point average (GPA) in each program are awarded a prize for excellence, valued at 1,500 AUD. To be eligible for the prize, students must complete a minimum of four University of South Australia Online courses in the academic year. Prizes are awarded for all University of South Australia Online programs.

There’s also an award to support high-achieving female students undertaking a University of South Australia Online STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) program. Students studying construction management and IT and data analytics are eligible to apply. The award is valued at 5,500 AUD, payable in three instalments.

Selection for the award is based on academic achievement as well as a written statement outlining the reasons for choosing their program and future career goals. Shortlisted applicants may be asked to attend a selection panel interview conducted via teleconference.
