A UNSW diploma in business, computer science, engineering or science provides students with a fast track to success.
The programs are designed to provide international students with an alternative path for direct entry in to a UNSW degree. Successful completion of the 12-month program will allow students to progress into the second year of a bachelor’s degree in business (commerce or economics), computer science, engineering or science at UNSW Sydney.

Scholarships of up to AUD 7,500 are awarded to high achieving diploma students.
Note: Diploma in Business students must achieve an average of 60% across all diploma academic courses to be guaranteed entry into Second Year at UNSW. Students studying a Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or Science must achieve a pass across all diploma courses to be guaranteed entry into Second Year at UNSW.
UNSW foundation studies was Australia’s first foundation program and helps provide students with pathways to all bachelor’s degrees at UNSW.
The duration of the program ranges from four to 15 months based on a student’s English language and academic background. Through foundation studies programs, students will enjoy a smooth transition into UNSW and be able to meet all required academic demands for their chosen degree.
Foundation programs are taught to international students by experienced teachers in a diverse, engaging and supportive study environment. Students will also be supported throughout their study at UNSW Global through learning support resources, extra consultations, a study club and more.
More than 30,000 students have completed the program and have progressed on to university study and employment.
Students must choose their UNSW Sydney degree program.
Students who don’t meet entry requirements for a degree can opt for a pathway program.
Students must produce required certified documents for academic qualifications; evidence of English language proficiency; and passport, visa or birth certificate copies.
Students can apply through email or online.
Once the application is approved, students will receive a letter of offer. They must then accept the offer and pay the required deposit and fees for gaining admission.
Students will receive an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from the UNSW admissions team.

UNSW Global’s English pathway courses are developed to help international students improve their English language skills and meet UNSW English language entry requirements. They also help students prepare for success at university level study and in their career.
These courses are delivered by the first university languages centre of Australia. More than 4,000 students progress through these English language courses every year.
Classes are delivered for students at the UNSW campuses providing them access to the university’s social surroundings and facilities.
International students who haven’t met the English language entry requirements can choose from study options including the Essential Academic English (EAE), Foundation English Entry Courses (FEEC), Essential English (EE), Career English (CE) and University English Entry Courses (UEEC).
