Rather than having defined department structures, Mohawk College instead breaks down its course catalogue into numerous areas. These are:
McKeil School of Business
Offering a diverse range of 25 programs available to international students, ranging from accounting and marketing to public relations and international business.
Preparatory Studies
Five separate preparatory courses are available to overseas students, specifically designed to give students a certificate qualification with a clear pathway onto a further academic course.
Health
12 courses are open to international students, giving them a chance to prepare for a career in healthcare positions such as nursing, imaging and diagnostics by using state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and taking part in clinical placements.
Communication Arts
Includes a range of musical courses, and subjects such as journalism and public relations, as students are encouraged to express themselves in a variety of different ways.
Community Services
Courses include Early Childhood Education and Law enforcement, justice and legal services programs. All courses are designed to provide students with a rewarding and purposeful future.
Skilled Trades and Apprenticeships
Mohawk College is one of the largest colleges in Ontario for offering apprenticeships in a range of practical, skilled trades in local industry such as construction, manufacturing and mechanical techniques plus many more. Seven of these programs are open to international students.
Graduate Studies
Graduate certificates allow students to add to their diplomas or degrees with specialist advanced study in numerous subject disciplines.
Community Services
International students are able to apply to one of 16 courses exploring community services such as justice and legal services, social services, law enforcement and more.
Technology
Almost all aspects of the growing technology sector are covered by the 26 courses available to international students.
