Trent has been ranked the number one university in Canada for scholarships and bursaries. There are a number of scholarships and awards particularly aimed at international students.
Trent University Global Citizen Scholarships and Awards
This scholarship is awarded to incoming international students who show academic achievement, dedication to community service, and leadership potential, but are also in some financial need. The scholarship contributes to tuition and is worth between USD 2000 and USD 24,000 per academic year. It cannot be used to pay for housing.
Trent-United World Colleges Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to an incoming international student from a UWC college who can demonstrate academic achievement, a dedication to community service, has leadership potential and is in financial need. The scholarship is up to USD 24,000 per academic year depending on financial need.
Jack Matthews International Scholarship
This scholarship is specifically for a student joining Trent from Pearson College of the Pacific. The student must show academic achievement, community service, leadership potential and financial need and the scholarship can be up to USD 22,000 per academic year depending on financial need.
Scotiabank International Student Awards
This scholarship is open to any student incoming to Trent from a country where Scotiabank operates. It is based on academic achievement, a student’s dedication to extra-curricular activities and their leadership, and is worth up to USD 5000 per academic year.
Maple Leaf Leadership Award
This scholarship is open to any student incoming to Trent from a Maple Leaf Education System school who can demonstrate academic achievement, leadership potential, a dedication to community service and who is in financial need. It is a one-off award for up to five students a year to the value of USD 2000.
