What will I learn?

In this qualification you will develop events administration and operational skills. You will learn to use discretion and judgment and will build up a good knowledge of industry operations. You will learn to work independently under the guidance of more senior event personnel and use plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities.

Events are diverse in nature and this qualification provides a pathway to work in event operations in tourism and travel, hospitality, sport, or the cultural and community sectors of many industries. You might find yourself working for event management companies, event venues, or with organizations which run their own events. Work could be undertaken in an office environment where the planning of events takes place, on-site at venues where events are staged, or a combination of both.
