What will I learn?

Develop major infrastructure

Build yourself a new career with the help of UniSQ’s Associate Degree of Engineering (Civil Engineering). The Associate Degree of Engineering will give you the freedom of choice to start up your career or set a stepping stone for further study.

With relevant courses you will gain the knowledge and skills to apply practical analysis and technical principles to all areas of Civil Engineering; including the design, testing, inspection, plant operation and manufacturing processes involved.

Professional accreditation

When you graduate with your Associate Degree, you’ll be eligible to apply for provisional accreditation with Engineers Australia. Apply for membership after you graduate to become an Engineering Associate (Officer) and with the experience you will gain from working in the field, you can apply for chartered status as an Engineering Officer.

Career outcomes

With the knowledge and skills you’ll acquire, you will gain the qualifications to work as a Civil Engineering Officer in the development of major infrastructure projects in areas including transportation, irrigation and construction.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Students must have completed High School Diploma + SAT. SAT Composite Score 125. Applications are based on comparisons with Australian Year 12 level examinations. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic only) score of 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5); TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) score of 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5); TOEFL (internet based) score of 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 50 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 50); Cambridge English: First (FCE)/ B2 First with a score of 169 or above. No less than 162 in each skill.

For international students

Applicant must have Australian year 12 level or equivalent.

Students from different country must have qualifications equivalent to Australia.
