Overview

You will enjoy special advanced mathematics units which develop research skills relevant to modern mathematics and its applications.

KEY FEATURES

One of the highest ATAR cut-offs for a science program in Australia. Special advanced units that are not available to other students form part of this degree.

Opportunity to take part in research and gain practical experience in research laboratories and research groups throughout the degree.

A scholarship is offered for a vacation research internship between second and third years.

Each student is assigned an academic mentor with expertise in applied mathematics, analysis, category theory and number theory.

ACCREDITATION

Those who are talented and gifted and interested in mathematics principally, or in any related fields of science, engineering and technology.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

To apply for an undergraduate program, international students will need to have completed one or more of the following academic qualifications: A recognized senior secondary school qualification or university entrance examination, such as the New South Wales Higher School Certificate (NSW HSC) or other equivalent Australian or overseas high school qualification; A recognized university Foundation course; A recognized 2 or 3-year Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree; At least one year of a university degree from a recognized institution. IELTS of 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each band, or equivalent.

For international students
