Financial Risk Management

Launch your career in financial planning and risk management through the Financial Risk Management major and your expertise could see you excel in this thriving, fast-paced field.

After developing a solid grounding in business in your first year, customize your degree with a major in Financial Risk Management.

This major allows you to start your career in financial planning and financial risk management in any modern financial services industry. The recent financial crises, global and regional, have highlighted the need for higher level thoughtful planning which is essential for the long term sustainability of the financial sector, and this course will expose you to the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the challenges. If you, however, choose to build a career in the Australian financial sector, or in the neighbouring region, studying in Australia will be a definite advantage because completing the full course equips you with the practical knowledge in the areas of financial planning, risk management and insurance, investment and portfolio management, taxation law, superannuation, and estate planning.

Entry into undergraduate courses (for example a bachelor degree) generally requires you to have completed a secondary school qualification equivalent to an Australian Year 12 certificate.
