Designed for high-achieving students, the Dalyell stream of the new Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Advanced Studies cultivates high-level graduate attributes through greater depth and breadth of learning. When doing the Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Advanced Studies, you can complete a second major, combine studies from a range of disciplines, undertake advanced coursework, and get involved in a cross-disciplinary community, professional, research or entrepreneurial project work.

In the Bachelor of Commerce, you will gain a strong commercial grounding in areas such as accounting, economics and business statistics.

In additional to technical development, you will gain the critical thinking and problem-solving skills to apply your knowledge effectively in the business world. Our core units, Future of Business and Leading and Influencing in Business, have been specifically designed to prepare you for the contemporary workforce, equipping you with leadership and entrepreneurial skills, as well as the tools to develop a global mindset.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Applicants must have obtained a ATAR score: 28 -40; English Language Requirements: IELTS overall score of 6.5 with no band below 6.0; TOEFL Paper based score of 565; TOEFL IBT: 85; PTE Academic score of 61; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): 58; Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE): 45; Cambridge English scale: CAE and CPE: 176.

For international students

Admission as a Dalyell scholar is on the basis of the following criteria:

a secondary education qualification (including national and international equivalents) with an ATAR of 98 or equivalent, or the first year of full-time study in a bachelor's degree with an average mark of 80 or equivalent.

TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing

IELTS score: A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band

TOEFL - PBT score: A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing
