You’ll develop expertise in core communication areas such as public relations, marketing, communication research, promotional communication and strategic communication planning – and you’ll graduate with specialist knowledge in journalism and social media, with the skills to deliver effective communication strategies across a range of industries and media platforms.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Australian Year 12 program or an equivalent program in your home country. English language requirements: English Language Testing System (IELTS): 6.0, TOEFL PBT: 550 with TWE of 4.5, TOEFL iBT: 60 with Reading and Writing not less than 18, Cambridge CAE/CPE: 169, CELUSA (UniSA ELICOS): AE4, Pearson PTE: 50 with Reading and Writing communicative scores not less than 50. Note: SAT is scored on a 1600 point scale.

For international students

Applicants are required to meet one of the following criteria with a competitive result:
Higher education study: Successfully completed equivalent to a minimum of half a year of full-time study of a higher education program at a recognised higher education provider OR
Vocational Education and Training (VET): Complete an award from a registered training organisation at Certificate IV or above OR
Work and life experience: Passed a University of South Australia Online literacy and numeracy test and have relevant work experience, or Completed a University of South Australia Foundations Studies program or equivalent, or Qualify for Special Entry OR
Recent secondary education: Completed a secondary education qualification equivalent to SACE, such as an interstate year 12 or international qualification.
