What will I learn?

The Bachelor of Engineering Technology is designed to develop your skills and enable you to combine an understanding of engineering concepts with modern technology.Your education and training will equip you with the skills to innovatively apply, modify and adapt engineering practices to meet engineering challenges and problems for communities, society and the environment.Tailor your course by choosing from a wide range of majors to suit your personal interests and career goals. The course utilises exciting technologies and has a project-based focus so you benefit from a more hands-on learning experience and have the ability to study on-campus in a non-traditional format or by online study.You will have the opportunity to engage with practicing engineers, work on industry-sponsored projects and have access to industry-based scholarship offered by some of Australia's leading companies. Nine weeks of industry placement during the course also allows you to apply your skills and increase your employability by gaining on-the-job experience.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Successful completion of the equivalent of Australian Year 12. An approved university foundation studies or formal Australian Certificate IV can also be taken to meet this entry requirement. American High School Diploma - Completed High School Diploma and a SAT 1 composite score of 1050 (out of 1600) or above (Evidence based Reading & Writing; and Maths. English requirements: IELTS Academic - 6.0 with no individual band score of less than 5.5; TOEFL Internet-based - Overall score of 75 with no score less than 17; Pearson Test of English Academic - Overall score of 54 with no score less than 46; Cambridge English: C1 Advanced , Cambridge English: C2 Proficiency - Overall test score of 169 (with no individual band score of less than 162).

For international students

Applicants are required to provide evidence of completion within the last 5 years of:

A secondary qualification (Year 11 and 12, or equivalent), or
Bachelor level qualification study for a period of at least 2 years full-time with a minimum overall GPA 4.0

English Language Requirements

An International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic) overall band score of at least 6.0, with a minimum 6.0 in each subset; or
An Occupational English Test with Grades A or B only in each of the four components.
PTE – overall score 54 with no subscore below 54
TOEFL – overall score of 75 with no subscore below 21
