Creating new music is a vital part of studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The Conservatorium’s composition and music technology staff are some of Australia’s most gifted and widely recognised composers, working across instrumental, vocal, electronic and electroacoustic music.

Admission to this course is on the basis of the following criteria: a secondary education qualification (including national and international equivalents), or approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses. English Language Requirements: IELTS overall score of 6.5 with no band below 6.0; TOEFL Paper based score of 565; TOEFL IBT: 85; PTE Academic score of 61; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): 58; Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE): 45; Cambridge English scale: CAE and CPE: 176.

For international students

Admission to this course is on the basis of the following criteria:

a secondary education qualification (including national and international equivalents), or approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.

TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing.

IELTS score: A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band

TOEFL - PBT score: A minimum result of 565 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing
