Why study environmental geoscience?

It's likely that solutions to the most complex environmental problems will come from an interdisciplinary field of expertise. An environmental geoscience major draws on chemistry, geography, IT and ecology, giving you a unique and thorough foundation of studies.

You'll develop the knowledge and skills to explore unique ways to look at climate change, sustainability, pollution, soil remediation and degradation, salinization and water conservation.

Environmental geoscience offers you the potential to make an impact through a solution-based examination of the most pressing issues that threaten contemporary society.

Where can environmental geoscience take me?

Graduates with a major in environmental geoscience are prepared for work in government and state departments, not-for-profit organizations, environmental consulting companies, resource management and conservation.
