The Diploma of Information and Communications Technology combines theoretical and practical approaches, providing you with the confidence to pursue a career in this growing industry. The course also provides an entry pathway into the Bachelor of Information Technology, should you be interested in further study.

The Diploma of Information Technology course is designed as a transition course for students seeking an entry pathway into the Bachelor of Information Technology course.

In addition to having value in its own right as a stand-alone qualification, the course provides an entry pathway into CQUniversity's degree courses, and units completed in these courses can be transferred into the University's Bachelor of Information Technology course.

Online option is also available.

Entry requirements

For international students

Completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent; or completion of AQF Certificate IV or equivalent.

English Requirements

An International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic) overall band score of at least 6.0 with a minimum 5.5 in each subset; or
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Requires 550 or better overall and minimum TWE score of 4.5 (Paper Based Test), or 75 or better overall and no score less than 17 (Internet Based Test); or
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) - Requires an overall score of 54 with no sub-score less than 46; or
An Occupational English Test with Grades A or B only in each of the four components
